Absolute belter of a bass. What a good woman Mrs B is, you're a lucky fella in both respects. Hope all 3 of you had a great day.

Thomann selling Harley Benton basses as 'Decoration only'
kodiakblair replied to Annoying Twit's topic in Bass Guitars
Is it wrong that I see that as something to aspire too?
Of course not but according to the bass hoarding group I'm passed level 5!!! 21+ Final Stage. You made it. You are the happiest of the hoarders. You no longer deny or try to mask your disorder. Your attitude has evolved to the point of -what the ****!- “I am a hoarder, so what?!” You snicker at the noobs posting how many basses they have and scoff at their attempts to attain approval and otherwise normalize their behavior. You rarely respond to posts involving these matters unless it is to set someone straight on the matter, and you end your posts with an exclamation mark. -

Rob I joined the Bass Hoarding Personality Disorder group over on TB. It's been a great help,as things here grew my fellow sufferers were there to support me in a guilt-free manner. -
Very nice. Tune Japan did something similar mid 80s with one of the fretless Bass Maniacs then Washburn a couple of years later. Only ever heard good things about Godin but prefer the 3 octave fingerboard on the Tune.

I think I can guess at which " expert " Jon. There's a strange inability to accept being wrong with some Washburn owners. They just ignore answers till they get the one they want They posted a photo of the burst headstock sayiing B-200 but as you rightly point out with Washburn nothing's set in stone. As always I'm happy to have been corrected, I'll take your word over the other fella every time. In the case of this Washburn looks like nobody wants it,been on eBay over a year easy.

Can't have that AT !! I'll send some positive thinking waves to Germany on your behalf -
Suitably chastised Jon Further reading turned up the ex-Washburn employee saying the folks at Washburn could never tell him anything about their basses so he'd pester folk.Their catalogues are no help either, some basses got pictured with different parts from production. Just to confuse matters more check these 2 B-200's

Well happy birthday to You. Think I've an idea on the present, so enjoy your day. -
That's brilliant. With them being 8 hours behind us the fella was probably shutting up shop,1630 his time. Aye top man yer Caleb
-
Couple of the fellas on the Washburn owners group say it was never sold in the USA but it's definitely early 80s Japan. They'd been in touch with seller for serials and more photos,it's an LP-40 or sometimes called a B-200 model One of them worked for Washburn at the time and says they're ultra rare,he's never played one though Want to ask if they can give a year Jon ? Might help add a piece to the Japanese Bass Building puzzle.
-
My ex boss told me about it. The fella's not that much of a music fan but reckoned it was a good show. Is the Glasgow lad still in it ?
-
Cheers Jono Will do. I need tae do a family potrait but it'll be split USA an the BXP branch Aye original case an yer right about the saddles. Bet ye scoff when folk mention Hi Mass bridges noo

I did try the Chord stand but was sorely disappointed and went with Flightcasewarehouse and their Spider racks. I did a review and listed my reasons why I preferred the Spider over the Chord. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/250757-spider-guitar-stands/ I'm using 6 Spider racks just now and have no fear of them falling apart. http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/industry/product.asp?item=spider-5-way-multi-guitar-stand-8404-2741

NBD: Harley Benton BZ-7000 7 String active bass
kodiakblair replied to Annoying Twit's topic in Bass Guitars
There's no 7 string set available from Warwick in any colour range The fella AT was referring too on Seven String.Org was just stating a preference. Most folks get 6 string sets and add a guitar string. Bass Gear UK do D'Addario 6 string sets for £22 ( £21 if you give them your BC name ) -
Cheers Flat Eric. This fella's a " Line around the Head " model too from 84. I was having trouble ID'ing bits such as the bridge,it's different to the 3 Foundations then I saw your white Foundation. That's the bridge, big round saddles same as the T-20. If I'm going for the full set there's few still to go ,mainly from the 90's, No Axcelerator,B-Quad,TL,Sarzo or Unity as yet Then there's stuff like the Randy Jackson,Jeff Berlin Palladium and the Jack Daniels bass.Oh and I've no fretless Peaveys. It a strange thing I prefer my Foundations with the VFLs to my Super Ferrite Foundation, nothing to compare the Dyna with .

Thanks Lads. Chris you get first shout on it OK.

Yes very Tap Good things have settled down now,

I spotted this on Friday and at £100 knew it was a bargain. 84 Fury with slanted SF pickup and oddly a rosewood fretboard. I've only really seen these with maple before though I think Flat Eric might have one, fella has everything else Damn fine P bass with a slightly narrower neck than the T-20,infact I found very little difference between the two. Same story with my early 90's Fury.Does everything a P bass should just with that wee bit more kick. And I'd be kicking myself if I'd passed on it

Now that is tasteful And you've just reminded me about Status Halfs,I better get a set.
