A further search revealed it's an Overwater by Tanglewood but judging by a few threads on here that's no reason to complain. His RRP is a bit out Kenny's Music in Glasgow have one for £399,with no bids yet and the postage it's an attractive deal.

Technical can be over-rated Lets face it there's not a whole lot to a bass,though the inside of my Tune is a bit much. Fingers crossed it's a good'un.

The Marathon sounds bloody brilliant and I was surprised at the HB Strat, another thumbs up for HBs. Also liked the " As Is " recording, more akin to what the track might sound like live. Few drinks,noisy club and this playing, I don't see many punters complaining. Aye aw good for me.

I've recently been using the t-bone IEM 75 from Thomann as well with no complaints. Didn't think the earbuds were much cop but I'm only using them at practise,looks like I'll be trying the Mrice. Cheers for the heads up.

I had no plans on buying a bass today but hey a look on gumtree never hurts. Well today a Retrovibe RV4 was for sale at £80. Emails and texts were sent before I even worked out how I would get there,no car ATM. 3 hours of buses and trains later I'm in a car park in Blairgowrie thinking " damn I should minded the Amplug at the very least " Too late by then Young fella turns up,I open the case,yes hard case inc in the £80,everything intact and no real chips or scratches.Deal done and another 3 hours public transport. The lad said he was selling due to a Fender Jazz coming his way but I think the reason was the RV4. Never have I seen a bass so in need of a simple set up. A boot lace was tied before the nut to stop the strings popping out the nut string height a mile high try 7mm at 17th saddles maxed up Truss rod cover had never been off and a good 1/4 turn settled things,I'll see how it is in the morning but bloody hell £80. Even at £80 it's a great deal Andy, was around £64 for my B-stock P/J 4. With it's bent tuners it's still a good bass (currently sporting Chromes ).
