1. Bugger! Missed this...I'll have thirds
 2. Putrid !
 3. I've played 20 or so typical Wailers tunes, never past the 12th fret, unless a freaky fill, but often been around the 10th (Could you be loved)...guess it depends on how you play stuff, choice of notes etc. Actually come to think of it Familyman does the occasional fill past the 12th live, particularly on the Babylon by bus album. Flabba Holt is a great reggae bass player too
 4.
I like all three, much more interesting than the usual, although I am a sucker for the '60s pastels. Daphne blue and tort have been on my bucket list for some time.
+1 to this!
 5.
I think many musicians don't realise that music is cultural. You have to grow up in, or at least immerse yourself in, the cultural aspects of the music you want to play, be that Latin, Middle Eastern, Indian, African, Asian, Caribbean or whatever. Just listening to a bit of the music and expecting to be able to execute its cultural nuances is an almost guaranteed fail.
+1 to this - develop a bit of cultural confidence. Reggae - Spot the muso's in Rockers, check out some Jamaican film classics, get down to the Sunsplash, demand goat & not mutton (far more tasty meat) and love your Ackee & saltfish...and of course listen to Culture - the best Jamaican band ever...haha IMO . I've been fortunate over the years to be part of a local reggae collective and backed a few Jamaican/African vocalists with various bands. It always amazes me that some musicians i play with will comment "the vocalist is singing out of time", "or using the wrong lyrics etc"......far from it usually as when I've observed the same vocalists jamming with their fellow Jamaican friends it is always pretty much perfect reggae...even when it sounds 'out of time' - Jah works in mysterious ways as they say I've often found guitards and particularly brass players the hardest to nail reggae. Often, and with a few exceptions of course, the horns are usually right on it and often on the beat. With regards to the OP, check out some Familyman in Dub - The Cobra style!!! , and his nephew on the drums (up and coming). 6.
Lovely. I'd just like to say for the record that there is nothing whatsoever wrong with Limelight tort guards, and Mark does a really excellent relic job on them - it's just that Spitfire guards are so damn luscious, groovy, 3D and extremely desirable! Ohh. Mine's just been despatched from California and is winging it's way to discreet towers as I type...
That tort looks yummy, especially on a sonic blue bass . I still keeping looking at that Red P on Marks site....must resist the looming GAS.
 7.
He's a really creative player and a great example of what you can do with just a few notes in interesting places.
He keeps it spriitual too when he's dubbing down with his few notes..(Natural mystic, Heathen etc)...Familyman is a big inspiration to me and thoroughly lovely down to earth chap too.
 8.
Couple of options from Thomann: http://www.thomann.de/gb/hartke_210_tp.htm http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_bb210t.htm Not quite sub-£100 but still bargaintastic!
Those Harley Bentons are great for the money, tried & tested
 9. I have an Ampeg pre amp up for sale that is within your budget. It will give you a great SVT sound into your Hartke. It's basically the same pre as the SVT 2. I used mine into a Carvin Amp which is a very clean amp like the Hartke, the addition of the Ampeg pre gave me 'that warm Ampeg sound'. Plus with pre you have best of both worlds as you could still use the Hartke without it should you wish
 10. Price drop £200 + P&P - Surely got be a super bargain for this
 11.
sounds a good price to me :-)
Thanks, yes a little research led to me to find one of these went on here for a lot more than £235 Selling as it's surplus really but it is a great piece of kit, however my Genz Streamliner gives similar sounds IMO and I have a Genz cab so want to keep them together really...both the ampeg & Genz have 3 tubes too.
 12.
I have a Line 6 LD175 I'm looking to part with but it's HEAVY (86lbs). It's in virtually mint condition but I've moved to a lightweight Ampeg which is much easier to cart around (not as strong as I used to be!). http://uk.line6.com/...cy/lowdownld175
Thanks for the offer, the combo would have been ideal had it been half the weight; I'm ideally looking for something light and portable.
 13. Glad these pick ups are taking off. I put some in a friends strat guitar several years ago and we were both blown away by the output and 'meaty' sounds. Just a few years ago i bought some J pick ups to put in a VM Squire, cheap eBay price, and again totally amazed. I'm currently thinking about a fretless project soon so may have to revisit Entwhistle again -thanks for reminding me of these folks, those neo's sound interesting too
 14.
Always had a positive buying and selling experience on here. Maybe I've just been lucky?
Yeah same here, although had some entertaining international shipping questions of late...makes me think all couriers operate out the uk only
 15. Recently said goodbye to the lovely Ampeg 8x10 Fridge. True to his word, Jon traveled down to Devon from Liverpool to collect the cab. Trustworthy and nice chap too, another credit to Basschat. Buyers/sellers can deal in confidence. Thanks Jon.

 18.
PM me if anything falls through and will take it off your hands.
pm'd

 20.
So, you've owned four Stingrays then!
I'd defiantly put myself in this camp but in my case it's about 6 ....and always end up coming back to the jazz
