3.
if like me you have helpful band mates then there really no problem, moving an 810 with two of you is easy. andy
Hey fellow Plymouthian with an 8x10, cool . Yeah they're good band mates at the start of the night
4.
I went to see one of my favourite bands play a small fairly imtimate venue this past Sunday. The bassist had the traditional SVT/8x10/P Bass. It sounded amazing. I was right near the front on the bassists side so I wasn't just hearing PA.
I must admit to dreading the first outing, but at home is sounds bloody awesome
5. Ampeg Fridge that be It's been a roller coaster of emotions finding my reggae rig over the last 6 months. I was nearly there with my brief spell with Eden but i wasn't getting the volume with that particualr set up, shame as that sounded soooo good too. Anyhow moving forward, a recent score of an SVT pre amp that i paired with my 1500W Carvin gave me the sound i was looking - fat warm round reggae vibes with nice definition. I yoyo'd back and forth on cab choice, weight v's neo's etc, and financial crisis delayed some potential leads over the last few months (sorry if that was you)...just about to deal then bloody car troubles, followed by guilt that i needed to buy baby stuff for Raslee baby number 2. Then came the mantra of 'i simply can't afford a chiropractor' ......so after a spate of decent fortune in true captain contradiction style here she is , the heaviest & heaviest sound to date: (Actually i'm quite chuffed to bits really, loads easier into the car than i expected - especially after watching a cheesy youtube vid on how to load your 8x10......So all groovy as long as i never play it anywhere with stairs or any lifting - it will, however, bulldoze walls down i guess...will probably be for sale next week )
6. My reggae band & sunshine always seems a winning combination (irie)
7. Sorted for a 4U case so this is for sale now or trade for gig bag/case for bass
8. Recently purchased an SD pick up from Dan, top chap all round ...a credit to B/c. Deal in confidence
9. Just bought a pre amp of Mark, good price too. Top chap to deal with and a credit to basschat. All good
10. I use the Chameleon (Herbie Hancock) one that someone put up - t'is a very good replication, we do a few bars of that track as a link in my functions band
11. This bass passed through my hands briefly before Pinball. I can vouch that this really is a top quality bass, very light too for those seeking some back relief, and those into the Spector esq vibes would appreciate the aesthetics of this beauty. Sadly to a lot of people Farida's are an unknown entity but having recently scored a cheap Farida P, on the basis of having been aware just how great their quality is, i can truly attest the quality of this bass...Farida basses would give £500+ basses a run for their money. Highly recommend & Pinball is a top chap too
12. Ozzygreg is your man, he started a patch library to which i have contributed too https://docs.google.com/folderview?id=0B7b88q8uy5hYMFJUem5nUDNyMkk Still lovin' my B3
13. I'm very much 'in love' with my recently bought Streamliner...I kind of see it a bit like a well behaved Orange Terror. But then I love my Carvin BX1500 which is super clean and a complete opposite to the Genz...oh and both are super loud
14. Ditto...my functions band did Hot Stuff, thankfully dropped it since...but blimey i needed redbull to get up to speed
15.
Definitely a darkish tort plate needed.
Yes was thinking the Doc
16. Courtesy of the original evilbay pics Tort plate perhaps ? Loving the jazz width neck on these too
17. Just used this bass at rehearsal tonight, totally incredible...and I'm not a big Precision fan either
18. Ahh, that made for a nice bedtime read. Glad you've found love mate
19. PM's replied. Happy to courier if buyer covers costs and the Eden does not have a tweeter.
20.
Harley benton
They are a lot of cab for the money. I've heard mixed things about the actual white HB branded speakers however the cabs themselves are excellent quality, solid and really well built. With the speaker upgrades these are really awesome cabs and well worth a punt under £100 per cab, i just don't need or use them....the speakers alone would cost more
21. Pm'd
22.
Wondered what these were like
Which ones?
