2. Bought a nice Fernandes 5 string from Benedict, great communications all the way and a lovely guy too.....best packer in the North UK too cheers buddy
3. Hi, I am getting more adventurous with my latest build project and am thinking of purchasing an unfinished All parts P neck and applying my own decal. I am trying to replicate a 77 P bass with that vintage look on the neck - any suggestions on how i can do this, admittedly i am clueless at DIY. Can i get vintage tint spray to do the job, if so where from & how much? Is it a big job? Any suggestions on aging the neck or relic look???? Thanks for any replies
4.
I was the original owner before Rasta, this bass is truly amazing and extremely rare in this natural version. When I sold it Jonas himself wanted to buy it ! If I didn't already bought a Wal fretless few days ago I would buy it again right now !!
Yeah great bass but have traded now and gone to a good home
5. Mutron Envelope filter, Star shaped sunglasses (so you can see what your doing),...... oh and a pilots license to fly the mothership on the one
6. Andy, Just down to my lovely bitsa Jazz & MM Sub as my mains now. Got a cheap Fernandes 5 on the way for a short term dub project and building a bitsa P at the mo. Got the Sandberg which is amazing but i think i'm gonna sell that on probably soon to cut down. Band wise not doing a lot at the mo, left a recent chaotic band for a bit more Daddytime and the Steppaz not doing a lot as Dan's leaving to move and focus on future Daddyhood too. However i am depping for a 'quirky' alternative rock outfit....a million miles from what i'm used to playing but a good challenge. What you trading your jazz for?
7.
blimey mate that was quick..!!??
Yeah i didn't think it'd be around long tbh...they're really great basses and therefore wiping the tears as I type.
8.
Thanks:) That's 2 Lakie LPB 5 strings in one day!!!! Lucky me
Awesome, did you buy the LPB DJ5 too? Be great to A/B them ...i'm biased as i think the Lindy Fralins are the best pick ups ever. Enjoy
9. This baby is SOLD and going abroad
10.
The B-string on a Joe Osbourne 5-string is a thing of true beauty. If you're tired of flobbadob low B's, then you really should try this.
Yes too right, i've had a lot of flappy B's and this baby is balanced across the strings so well. I'm gonna miss this bass a lot i know it .
11. SOLD I hardly play 5 string these days so its time to part with this old friend and raise a bit of dosh. It really is a superb jazz bass, the Lindy Fralins sing, Lakland quality, low action, string through body etc etc ....enough said really.
12. I've pretty much decided i'm gonna sell my JO5 if your interested Andy and you sell you Fender jazz, i'm cutting back on gear and hardly play 5 now so i'm gonna get realsitic and pass it on. I'd thought give you first dibs if your interested mate before i go for the for sale section.
13. PM'd...i'll take it if its still available.
14. Get an MM Stingray Sub bass, usually under £400 second hand and come up here in B/C every so often. I got one in a recent trade and i have to be honest and say i am completely surprised with it and really loving it a lot.....all the Stingray sound that i wanted but perhaps not the smooth looks of the expensive ones. To my ears, that are probably a bit deaf these days, i thought the two Sterling rays that i tried a couple of months back sounded a bit thin whereas my Sub bass has the meat i've been looking for in a Stingray. The Sterling's rays do look cosmetically nice though. Just my subjective opinion of course. Look at this beaut: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=120652&hl=SUB
15. Jo5 with the Lindy Fralin pick ups but then i might be biased (Have of late had fleeting moments about selling/ or trading for a cheaper 5 as i hardly play 5 now if at all......but just not quite ready yet)
16. Still got my EW&F first album, funky as funk. Bad tune is an all time favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJoBYMrLt_8

18.
That would be fantasic, thanks. Gary, thnaks for the heads up, ill PM him over the weekend
PM'd
19. I've got the ye oldie Boss ME6B crap at most sounds but.......best bass synths i've ever played . I think Jamiroquai's Stuart Zender used to use one.
20. I've got a guy who does Mighty might necks with fitted Fender decals and finished, usually go for around £105-110. I'm going to buy another maple precision neck off him soon as the first one i purchased was an awesome neck and a lot like a MIJ P neck that i used to own, top quality indeed. I can PM you his email details if your interested.
21. I picked up an Ashdown Elec Blue with 12" speaker for £100 a few years back and its superb....not the smallest or lightest of amps but looks good & a great sound. Useful for small rehearsals/small gigs/recording too
22.
Great looking bass! Good luck with the sale/trade
Cheers man, yeah sure is special...got a potential trade in the pot too
23. I had this issue and found lowering the bass tone actually on the bass helped a lot.
