2.
Far too far away...
Reckon a courier would be £30-40 ish ? still cheap at that
3. I've got a Ampeg SVT 4x10 HLF , with wheels and handle bar. Superb sound, 1 speaker replaced for OEM recommended speaker (before i had it) have used it for 18 months without a hitch. Sounds phat as. Torlex quite ripped but through use not abuse hence the cheap price - get some SVT in your life.....probably one of the best 4x10's money can buy in my opinion. Collect from Plymouth, Devon, or arrange your own courier (quite heavy though) (£40 ish) Specs taken from Ampeg HERE Pics to follow....pics now HERE sorry done on iphone 3...not great! Note this is 500W at 4ohm and not 250W as seen on the rear sticker...awell documented Ampeg error on a batch (mentioned on Talkbass)...SVT's 4x10 HLF's are 500W @ 4ohms and 1000W program (whatever that means??)...anyhow bloody good cab & damn loud!!! Selling due to sadly not getting used much these days.
4. Les 'make me an offer before the ebay feel kicks in' bumpa
5.
http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn273/Ikhis/Basses/ There you got some pictures. Unluckily the sun messed with me... Cheers
Hi Krinks, great bass mate but sadly my circumstances have changed a little and am looking mainly for a cash sale now. Thanks for the offer anyhow.
6. Hi, £350 for the SUB & £300 for the Precision.....
7. Pm's replied, both still available again. I'm away at a festival all weekend from Sat morning so will reply to any further PM's Monday but in today if any Q's.
8.
What are the neck widths like on SUBs compared to - say, a 70s Jazz bass? I can't really handle chunky necks.
Fat like a P....nothing like a Jazz
9.
Since I didnt get an answer I guess there is no interest? Good luck then Awesome basses
Hi, sorry late reply...i've had a really crazy week trying to get 3 female vocalists ready in a week for a festi gig this weekend, it's been up for work up @ 7 feed my daughter, off to a stressful but interesting job until 5pm, back home with daughter and then out until 12 every night...so sorry late replies (and i'm too old and knackered!!!)...any how i'm off tomorrow so will get these allusive pictures finally sorted-i'm not usually this crap just been stupid busy. Any pics of your P Krinks??? to be honest though i think i'm preferring a modern P shape rather than a 51P.]
10. Some pics of the P doen quickly as requested, Sub pics on the way soon....gotta go to work and running late Pic 1 the actual bass Pic 3 showing little paint chip by neck join Pic 2 showing small dink on neck (as in previous sellers pics) Tomorrow i'm free all morning so can send pics, and requested specifics then...sorry for the delays-crazy week!!!!
11. At work at mo...so will repond to all PM's later tonight after rehearsals
12. I have gas for a better P (and there is one on here i'd particularly like), i.e MIJ or MIA so i'm selling both of these to raise funds or possibly may trade both or one. First up, USA Musicman Sub, a few dinks, well used and sounds Stingray awesomeness...built like a tank, Maroon red with Tortoiseshell Scratch plate - Very reluctant to part with this as i've preferred this over US Stingrays that i've had over the last 12 months but its not getting used that much really. Will get pics up soon. Pictures now added see HERE Second up is a lovely Fender Mex Precision, 60th Anniversary now with Tortoiseshell scratch guard, love this bass but prefer maple necks... lovely Pearly finish, US series pickups, tinted neck. Traded from this thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=98948&hl=BT! but as i say it is now dressed with a tortoiseshell scratch plate...looks awesome...can put the white scratch plate back on if preferred. One of these http://www.zzounds.com/item--FEN146102 £350 Now including P&P £300 Now including P&P May consider trade of both for a USA P or could do some kind of deal on a Jap P ....must be maple neck. Could be tempted with a Warwick too...but a P is preferable.
13. I keep looking at this bass . I regrettably traded a MIJ 57 RI in the past and things haven't been the same in the P department ever since . Think i may put my MM Sub & MIM 60's anniversary P bass up for sale to get yours unless i could tempt you with a trade for both of these, both 4's? I'm sure you'd benefit financially on selling both of those on but i miss my 57RI so much and i do love the look of yours...and yep they are perfect basses those 57 RI's... at the very least have a bump
14. Here's is some pictures of the said bass HERE
15. Hi Ray, welcome to the forum from another fellow Plymouthian.
16. Just done a pain free P bass trade with Josh. Great communications all the way and all round top feller. Buyers & sellers can deal in confidence. Big thumbs up
17. I would like to use more gain control in my sound but i still need to get that defined phat reggae sound, can anyone recommend any valves ?
18.
I bet you can tell the difference between tomato sauce and brown sauce, like major and minor sauces (). The modes are a bit like the learning difference between HP tomato sauce, Heinz tomato sauce, Tracklements tomato sauce, HP brown sauce, Tracklements brown sauce, etc. You just have to keep tasting blind until your palatte gets educated to the differences. A few you'll not like, I love lydian but dislike mixolydian for instance. I have a tricky guitar gig coming up playing Indian raag based music. I've been asked to become very fluid with Phrygian mode in D, ascending without the third, descending with the third for the main theme, then call and response with the sitar in 13 /4 and 10/4 with lots of lines going over the bar and odd bar splits. I am doing exactly what I said in the post above and it's getting locked in my head quite nicely. I know I'll make mistakes mind
I love that description, i get it. I'm gonna nick practicing your raga mode, i'm quite into my eastern jammin',....do you have any other raga intervals Silddx???
19.
Yeah that would be nice.. or maybe ever tort, but thats alot of colours going on.
Lovely looking bass mate - go for the tort on it, i've got a tort on my LPBlue jazz...well psychedelic maaaaaan
20. I am in the same situation but need a P neck if you fancy swapping either necks or even basses as i quite like natural? I have a really nice Mighty might Jazz neck with 70's Precision logo on a P body, Fender Jap elecs with cream vintage PU covers & a funky capacitor inside to give vintage tones - not sure on the body, possibly Squire but its a relic'd sunburst-very cool and 70's looking. Anyhow i prefer P necks so could swap either necks or the whole bass if your interested?
21. A top feller is Gilles, just sold him a Lakland JO5, easy to deal with and great communications throughout, a credit to Basschat. Enjoy the Laky mate
22. New pick ups, Lindy Fralins are superb
23. PM's replied. May trade for MIJ P bass, maple neck, plus cash my way
