1. When these are on wheels at the blunt end, they often have some form of handle, maybe even a loop of rope, at the pointy end so that you can walk along towing the case behind you.
2.
But one of my Halloween gigs this year was at a boat on Loch Lomond, ... It was a 210 TE combo...
Yes, I heard that the Royal Navy frequently use them as ballast on aircraft carriers.
3. An alternative interpretation of "an f-hole".
4. http://www.snopakebrands.com/snopake/correction/correction-pen/pinpoint-st-correction-pen.aspx Not trying to be funny ... this stuff really is the answer.
5. Luckily enough I feel the same way about Jaco as some Basschatters feel about Barefaced cabs.
6.
Not a big fan of Markbass amps or rather the LM series either, or their cabs for that matter. I've used the LMll a lot in a 102 combo and also have used them as supplied backline and whilst I like the combo at lower volume levels, I find the amp gets an unpleasing harshness when pushed.. which I invaribly have to do.
So, serious question, do you actually use Markbass (which you seem to be saying) or are you not a big fan (which you also seem to be saying)?
7. For all we know, your feet have fallen off ...
8.
My amp is a Markbass LMIII. For your info!
OK, so I've veering WAY off topic again, but I do wonder if there's a correlation between ... erm ... how shall I phrase this ... ah yes! ... the Barefaced NON-fanbois and using Markbass amps. I've played through a variety of BF cabs with very satisfactory (to my ears) results using heads by people like Eden, Orange and Matamp but I personally detest the uber-middy sound (to my ears) of a Markbass through a BF cab. Is it really as simple as that? People with Markbass amps don't like Barefaced cabs?
9.
I'm getting towards my first landmark age ...
Yup, 18's a big one, isn't it?
10. What's your favourite cab, Stevie?
11. I wonder what happens if you try to sell one without mentioning Muse ...
12.
how do you connect two pairs of 8ohm to give 4? 8ohm I see, but 4?

I really have no idea, but it says so on the BF website. All this tech-lark way beyond me.
Are we looking at a different website here? The Barefaced site offers this: We can also supply cables which require 4 pole Speakons for bridged amps (wired 1+/2+) for £15 each or series cables (one amp end speakon, two cab speakons, for making two 4 ohm cabs into an 8 ohm load or two 8 ohm cabs into a 16 ohm load) for £20 each I'm not seeing much sign of "two pairs of 8ohm to give 4". Besides which, you wouldn't connect "two pairs" of cabs would you? You might connect two x 8-ohm cabs (each of which was a twin), and yes, that would give you a 4-ohm load. It just wouldn't need a special cable, is all.
13.
but as taylor swift explained "Cause the players gonna play, play, play And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate Baby I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake Shake it off"
That's all very well, but I'm all about the bass, 'bout that bass, no treble.
14. The Junkyard Dogs played The Ash Tree in Ashford (Middx, near Heathrow) last night - they liked us so much that they immediately asked us to play their NYE gig this year. So that's Basschatter Happy Jack on bass, Basschatter MacDaddy on lead guitar, Basschatter Bluejay on camera & video (plus occasional roadying), and semi-Basschatter Paul the Drums, star of various Southeast Bassbashes on ... erm ... drums. Three and a half Basschatters in one band, and something for grown-ups to do on NYE - what more could you want?

16. Surfboard? Looks more like an ironing board!
17. That red one was mine for a few years (I got it from ryancowell25 IIRC) and xllddx had it for a year too. These are absolutely lovely basses, all the advantages of a really good Precision plus huge punch and a neck that never needs adjusting. Matski, why does it have four controls? I can work out three, but the last one has me stumped.
18.
How about giving every visitor 4 x 5 minute slapping coupons. These can either be redeemed for 5 minutes of slapping a bass... Or 5 minutes slapping someone who is slapping the bass.
I love this idea, but can you imagine the secondary market that would spring up in the Gents Toilets with people trading slapping coupons for picks & strings ...
19. Not meaning to go off topic here, but are you sure it's you? You don't mention anywhere your band's line-up. 5/6 years ago I had a massive problem with my sound at rehearsals - whatever I did there was far too much bass and the basslines sounded horribly woolly and boomy. I threw money at the problem for a few months before discovering that "my" problem was actually the keyboard player's left hand. Our line-up in that band now has two guitars and no keys, which is a huge improvement, but there have been occasions where a fuzzy Les Paul sound played near the nut has sounded like problems with the bass again.
20. Got a little side project starting up with a Van Morrison-esque vocalist and a reliable drummer. Van spends his weekends in somewhere called "the Midlands" (a bit to the north of London-The-Centre-Of-The-Universe apparently) so this band will intentionally be targeting midweek gigs. This is a groove band, incorporating blues & soul & borderline jazz stuff (think Tom Waits, Diana Kroll, etc.) and could be a vehicle to go off in some new directions. Play standard needs to be competent without getting all virtuoso on our asses. We don't plan to do too many crowd pleasers, and ain't nobody gonna get rich. We have our own rehearsal facility with backline and decent transport connections in Acton W3. If you fancy some off-piste 6-stringing, drop me a PM.
21. Liking that offset contour body.
22. I seem to remember that these were bloody heavy - can you recall what it weighed?
23. It's down by his feet.
24. I don't fancy yours much ...
25. At that price, they look like very good units. We're just a pub band so I have no interest in DMX, but that enormous colour wash in the corner can look very good even at the Dog & Duck.
