3.
Is it too late to say "I'm very bored"
It's never too late to say that, no.
4. Damn! Been too long since we last talked, and I wanted to know more about Boogie Monsters. Seems like a brilliant idea.
5.
Funnily enough. I gained a Midget last weekend. I've not gigged it but they sound well together to my noob ears. The midget, while it's the bigger of the 2, gives a punchier, more treble sound.
Unfortunately you have stacked these with opposite polarity, leading to the bass frequencies from the Midget being cancelled out. Try aligning the 'Barefaced' logos properly and you will hear a real improvement in the sound.
6. Bloke I knew attached a cockerel to the end of the pendulum on his grandfather clock. He said he had a big swinging chicken. At least, I think that's what he said.
7. Right, you, outside! Prawn Madras and a bottle of Cobra at ten paces.
8. Take some pliers and you can pinch them from the piano ...

11. The fitted hardcase is a nice touch ...
12. If TB actually stands for Theremin Badger, then no wonder they're being culled ...
13. Not a problem for me. I'm sure that I could, if necessary, out-snore and out-fart any neanderthal.
14. What we really need is for a chain of Charity Shops to launch their own brand of P-bass ...
15. Mick's Lawmen want me to sing Born To Be Wild. I've been rejecting it as too cheesy and long-forgotten by most punters. Do you reckon it's still a crowd-pleaser?
16. Did Markus Milner's brother recently join Liverpool?
17. Incidentally, did Juicy Lucy ever catch up with their missing backline?
18. Yeh, well I'm still going to try this at home.
19. Those look like the original SGC pickups in both basses. I've owned half a dozen of these over the years and none of them has ever sounded "thin" or ill-defined. These basses usually sound really lush. Before you start swopping stuff out, you might want to have the existing pups and wiring checked out.
20.
Just had a quick listen to Deep Purple Made in Japan, a Led Zep track from Danish TV and The Band, the Last Waltz, all sounding pretty decent off youtube through in-ear bud earphones. The
Well there's your problem. Which of those three, if any, was actually a live recording? I'm very familiar with The Last Waltz. One of my favourite activities used to be watching the DVD and trying to spot any moment where what the bass could be seen to be playing matched the notes I could hear on the soundtrack.
21. I'm a big fan of PJB kit, and of Class D heads. Have to say that, other than a styling exercise, this doesn't do much for me. My first Class D was the Eden WTX350, maybe eight years ago, and that looks (on paper) to be a match for this PJB unit. Not sure why this very expensive head would be preferred to a GK or Markbass or etc. etc. etc.

24. Popped into Wunjo's to have a chat just now, mentioned the pedals that most impressed me and ... they'd just taken delivery of a pre-owned Afterneath and stuck a price tag on it. Well it would have been downright rude not to buy it. As with all the best comedy, it's all in the timing.
