Does that mean they had someone else on standby already?

Had a mostly good gig on saturday. Haven't had a gig since last month and no practices either, so my fingers weren't match fit! Not too many mistakes from my part, although a few in general. It was a pub that has just reopened, but a short way out of town, the last few gigs we have done there have been as a dead as a dead thing, but they did say that last week, their opening night they were really full, but there were a lot of things going on in town, so I was surprised it wasn't dead, there were quite a few people there, but it is a big place so it seems not too busy. Anyway, we had quite a few dancers, and it seemed to go alright, so was quite happy with it. After loading up and getting the car ready, was talking to the guitarist while the singer and drummer went to get them money. Turns out the drummer decided that the fee that we had agreed with the pub was too high and he would just say to take £70 less, so that went down badly, especially with the guitarist who relies on his gigging money. I am not really that bothered about the money but feel like decisions like that should be a band agreement. Hopefully we can get some practiced done as we have some songs almost ready

Looks like you are in a queue!

and 'Available at somewhere other than Amazon' means a lot to some of the rest of us.

I have facebook purity, so I don't really see that much of that stuff. I only get it on youtube when I want to quickly work out the bass to something, so I listen to other peoples attempts, so you put in something like 'bass cover of wantedsong' and then get a load of 'bricklayer reacts to listening to wantedsong', 'proof that wantedsong author was miming on totp', 'professional dancer reacts to bricklayer reaction video' etc

Doesn't seem that much trickier on facebook (I don't use the others), as long as you remember which dashboard you need to go to to get the events page.

Hi - this sections are for technical issues with the site such as pages not updating or account issues - if you have a question about speaker cabinets, it would be best to ask it in the Amps & Cabs forum

Indeed, either way it is a much better design, both from a pedal board space point of view and asthetically, with more than a nod to the original deep impact so well done those people.
-
Oh that is a huge improvement. ok, clearly that knob next to the right footswitch is going to be crushed after a while, but still its a better pedalboard friendly thing, might have to pick up one of those when they are available

Can't recall having a playing issue from a bridge (I had one that caught my hand badly so I replaced it), but I have had tuners that weren't great, including a few that broke (although one of the broken ones was a gotoh).
-
ok, that is not something I would expect but I can see if you were it would be annoying!
-
My rickenbacker came with an extra string - I would have never had the nerve to do that myself so yes, that was a genuine upgrade for me. And I have the original bridge.
-
I wouldn't think it was that stupid, that is what I would expect it to do, if you have a two channel interface you are recording to two channels, left and right. I would find it very odd if it did anything else. If you don't want it to go to two channels, you would need to mix it afterwards or before which you could do in audiobus or whatever, or an external mixer before input.

Uk digital sales reporting
Woodinblack replied to edstraker123's question in Site Issues and Questions
At a brief look, it looks like we are outside of that, because although we list items for people for sale, we don't facilitate those sales or have any trace of the reportable information, such as knowing if anything has been sold, what the sale price actually was, the location or actual identity of the person selling the item. But IANAL, so what do I know Although looking at the personal details on there, it does mean if you are trying to sell something like a Wal bass that you have had a decade you do need to report it for Capital Gains tax (or I guess you can take up farming instead) -
Well, the vintage basses that people are paying 3k+ for aren't because they are better basses its because they have a value due to their age or perceived rarity. It doesn't matter how bad a 1960s jazz bass is, its still going to be worth a lot of money even if it is virtually unplayable.

There is no such limit - I suspect you have got close to your upload limit. I will check Yep, you have 488.18 MB of images against a limit of 488.28 MB (which is I guess 500,000,000 bytes)

They are great things, I have one of the originals.

Absolutely can't watch that - the earlier videos or live stuff is good, but as a fan of Rush since I first heard 2112 in 1980 (and bought Moving pictures at HMV the day it came out) I couldn't listen to them live for the last few decades, the singing is not something I can deal with. Don't forget to listen to 2112 if you like caress of steel.
-
Well, yes, but you are always going to get bargains here or there, it doesn't make that the price of the item. It wasn't so long ago that many things were very cheap. My Gibson Les Paul cost me just over £300 a few years ago, other prices weren't as bad as they are now. And as you say yourself, if I had something that was selling at £140 I might be bothered to sell it, if it was £20, I couldn't be bothered to wrap it. That would keep the average price high.

Altering my existing ad. title
Woodinblack replied to eddbass's question in Site Issues and Questions
You edit the first post and that lets you change the title and add a price if you want -
Hmm - I had been looking at that from another thread, hadn't noticed its length

Hi, I am after a gig bag that I can put any of my basses in, which includes my MM Bongo - unfortunately the bongo is longer than most at 121cm, whereas most gig bags are 119cm. So they sort of fit in if you take the straps off it and bend the edges a bit but it is not ideal. My old gig bag fitted but it is falling apart now, so I need something else.
