  1. Yes, it was on Moseley Street, then it became Sound Control.....just for info, i sold the bass because i found it hard to get grips with the filter preamp, also it was a boat anchor.
  2. In the late 80s i had the good fortune to buy said bass from Rock City Music, Newcastle.....Unfortunately i don't know the serial number, but anyway, my bass had a red/brown straight grained paduak top along with a fairly wide blond stripe down the middle (a little wider than the neck)......Can anyone remember buying this from me in a place called Spennymoor?.......A long shot i know, but some pics would be nice. A last thought!.....i remember paying £1400 for the bass and later selling for £800.....You live and learn don't you haha!
  3. Anything with Cort written on the headstock, after all, they build guitars and basses for many makers so know what they are doing.

  5. Anybody had the opportunity to try it out?..... looks like a great hybrid between A and B series.
  6. Looks like quite an update.... would like to know what weight they are though.
  7. Nobody seen or tried this bass then?
  8. Just bought an Ashdown abm600 from Martin.....Comms were great, amp was very well packed and in lovely condition, a pleasure to say the least....Top chap!!
  9. Quite common issue with the ray....I replaced my pickup with an Aguilar ag4m which has flat pole pieces..., D and G not raised as on stock pickup, this helped to a degree but not entirely.
  10. Has anyone had any chance of trying this bass out?....looks great to me, like a hybrid between b5 plus and A5 plus... also looks like a good modding platform.
  11. Do believe they came in around 50lbs fitted with the deltalite's

  16. Fabulous cabs, i had the 2460, but had the heavier ceramic drivers and at 65lbst too heavy for me.....looking on the website, they have some superb designs....RIM basses used to import them, but no longer do so....shame
  17. Thanks for the kind comments folks, had a lot of interest.
  18. Up for sale is my superb early 90s Yamaha TRB 5 slapcut....bass is in excellent condition bar a few small marks, also it is presented in a lovely high gloss trans blue colour, some were open grain satin and in my opinion don't look as attractive.......Yamaha basses seem to set up really well with a great low action and this is no exception! Also, build quality is top draw. Bass comes with original Yamaha case, even still has owner's handbook.....Not really looking for any trades for now....Oh, weight is 4.25 kgs and price includes uk shipping......Cheers
  19. Used one of these for years.... for the time, an amazing amp... would blow the skin off a rhino at sixty paces and yes, fans were noisy but never bothered me....glwts
