Depends, I'd say on the strength of experiences with Ibanez guitars (not basses) and their thin necks that their basses are worth a look if a full size (34") is wanted, by reports I've heard they've got thin necks. Also, that Sammick is a p-bass style one yea? Jazz necks might be better for her.
But in the MM version I used to swear that it goes: And little Early-Pearly gave my anus curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride, Check it out - around 2:10 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6AFCJ1dLdg
Sounds like "came by in his" just said quite quickly to my ears with it sounding more like " 'is" rather than "his" due to the H not sounding out loudly in the singers accent.

This week: Weezer! Ordered the Blue Album (delux), Pinkerton, Green and Red. All but the Green Album have appeared so far, finally glad I've made the effort to get into them, they've always been around during my teenage years and I've always been interested in their singles, never actually bought anything though.

Jon, is the binding on the body covered by the laquer from the body? If it is, and the neck binding isn't, that could explain why if it's had a reaction to the laquer. Eitherway, that neck loves lovely, just like glass.

^^ What Paul_C said. Oddly enough, that first diagram is the seymour duncan one for jazzers, looks like someone's removed their copyright info from it.

I expect it's a cost cutting thing. However, it IS interesting that there is no maple boards available for the MIM standards, so it's a bit strange as there is no need, but it could be cheaper to do it from the back. Might have to ask Fender this one. -
IT DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF THE GIG AND THE RELATIVE LOUDNESS OF THE DRUMMER AND GUITARIST. ALSO, LOOK MA, CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOOOOOOOOOOL. *Cough*

Just to clear something up for everyone, the wizards are passive pups no?. One output wire (white) and one wire to ground (black). All this coil tapping in a mute point as fair as they are concerned as they follow the standard layout like the majority of passive singlecoil style pups on the market.
Interesting - especially if they're better than normal MIM's.
Depends if they do a Squier and have tighter QC on the "better" models really. Although, I'd much rather have a current American Standard with a MOP block Rosewood board on it for the extra bits, than have one of these new MIM ones lacking the High Mass bridge, the light Schaller tuners and probably slightly better pups. I don't see why they don't do that, apart from the fact it means their vintage line sales might drop a bit, as it's a sure fire hit.

You'd best head over to Finnbass if you want a response from Argh, he frequents there much more now.

Who on Basschat has the most expensive bass?
Buzz replied to Jonny Walker's topic in General Discussion
Pendantic, but the OP's finally made it clear that it's list prices, not percieved worth, that should be used for the bassis (Sorry ) of this thread. -
Grats on getting the place chap!

Specs from the jazzer:
Body Basswood Neck Maple, Modern “C” Shape, (Gloss Polyester Finish) Fingerboard Rosewood, 9.5” Radius (241 mm) No. of Frets 20 Vintage Style Frets Pickups 2 Custom Jazz Bass Single-Coil Pickups with AlNiCo 5 Magnets (Mid & Bridge) Bridge 4-Saddle HiMass Bridge with Brass Saddles Pickguard 3-Ply Tortoise Shell Scale Length 34” (864 mm) Width at Nut 1.50” (38mm) Unique Features Vintage Styling, Tinted Neck, Vintage Style Chrome Control Plate Black Jazz Bass Control Knobs, Gold Squier Logo, Thumbrest, Synthetic Bone Nut
So, Synthetic Bone nut, decent bridge with brass saddles and a pair of AlNiCo 5 pups. Hmm, and basswood isn't a major problem, it'll be fairly light. As long as the build quality is up with the VM series, they should be good.

Er, RRP value or current value? I only ask because on current value some people will have very early jazzes or rare coloured jazzes (and other instruments naturally) which are currently worth lots of wonga donga, and are only increasing, but didn't cost that much when they were first bought (even taking into account inflation). -
I'll refer you to your own thread (of a couple): http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=jazz+24 and to here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=jazz+24 And finally, the search query: Jazz 24 Not trying to be rude or offend you, but the fact you've asked a number of times and got little or no responses shows that we've not exactly come across them much on here, perhaps a google adventure for reviews might yield more results.

Don't be decieved though, the head (AD 200) is frigging massive, I was surprised by my encounter with one in a shop in Brum.....however, if I won the lottery, I'd have one like a shot.

Cor, the first "She's Tuff" is a proper outing of the 12 bar blues isn't it? I rather enjoyed both though. NB, This is a patented drunk student post.

Didn't we come to the conclusion that the extra sized ones (Monster I think) should be avoided, not because they're bad cables per se, but because the slightly thicker barrel ends up damaging the internal socket?

In a similar vein, I often think of ideas of what I'm focusing on (not muscially related most of the time) when in the shower or on the bog, I suppose it's doing a fairly automated action allowing your mind to wonder a bit. Conversely I think of lyrics when in bed. They always turn out to be fairly sh*t, and I've never written more than a few lines, but occasionally something nice comes once or twice a year, gets written down, then thrown out with all the other crap lines.

Oooh, I'm first. Obbm's!

Never ever heard of them.
