These are around £220 brand new so im asking £150 seen as its in pretty much mint condition. ive never gigged it just really used it at home and at rehersals and as with any guitar ive ever owned ive took care of it. Heres a link to a website with the full spec http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/squier-/71293 Pics: Any questions or more photo requests please let me know, Cheers
Hello There, Is this still for sale? If so, I'll ave it! PM sent.
3. I've had a speaker cable and an Ashdown Freebass wireless cable from OBBM - absolutely top drawer stuff they are too!
4.
To be fair, I didn't replace the cable (really you shouldn't need to though!). All the toys came out of the pram and I sent it back . I bought a Sure wireless and it is fantastic.
You're absolutely right, mind - the cable provided should be up to the job. Works a treat with a the new one though, and you could actually make one yourself for much less moola with the jack and mini XLR from the cable provided, a length of Van Damme cable and a strategically placed soldering iron.... It's not rack mountable I'm afraid.
5.
I have had one for about 6 months, at first there was a certain amount of electric noise with each note, but i think this may be down to the cable supplied, I use my own jack to jack for the receiver to amp, and I got a cable from OBBM for £20 and I love it now! Great tone, and the models are all usable, although I don't bother! battery life is good too!
Aha, sorry, I forgot to mention that I bought a decent cable for it too!
6. Wow, that single-ply 'plate DOES look good! Geddys look fantastic with a black guard. Here's mine, it's actually an '04 S1 USA body with a Geddy neck and a Badass 3. Bit of a FrankenGeddy really but sound fantastic - just love that neck!
7.
I was just thinking! Fancy trading the 70's reissue bridge from my '73 for the original bridge on this one? Seeing as you'd "priced the bass on the sound and playability", I didn't think you'd mind! oh I'm naughty! Si
Oh, that '73! Fab.
8.
I bought one and sent it back. It has 99 channels all of which produce a nasty electronic sound whenever you play a note. I've now bought a Shure PG14E T10 from Thomann ( PLEASE CLICK HERE) and it is the nuts. My advice, stay away from the Freebass. It's cheap rubbish from Ashdown and I am very disappointed.
I bought one and love it! Absolutely crystal clear, mine is. Maybe you got a lemon? Extremely easy to use and the tone modelling is a bit of a bonus - couple of really usable setting on there if you want 'em. If not, just bypass 'em. My only gripe is that the cable for the transmitter is a bit lame. Can see myself knackering it quite easily. However 4 pin mini USB's aren't that expensive and it would only take a short while to make myself a more masculine cable. The battery life is ridiculous too - I've had roughly 8 hours of use out of the set I have in now and the gauge still shows half full! That's 5 gigs on 2 batteries! I'd say give it a go, it's the best wireless I've had. Edit - Sounds Live are knocking 'em out for 130 quid now too!
9. Completely agree with the above - popped round to Iain's house to collect some Mackie monitors tonight. Top bloke, really knows his stuff and the gear is in absolutely mint condition! Buy with confidence!
10. Hmmm. It has a Corona neckplate so it 'ain't Mexican either..... Looks like it went for about what it's worth though, as a "bitsa." Cheeky bugger.
11. 83% Victor Wooten 83% Pete Wentz Talk about spit personality......
12. ...oh, and the Sadowskys ARE pretty special!
13.
I'm after a nice 4 string (yes, that's right a 4 string) jazz bass, to inject a 70's type vibe into my playing for my one band. I like the look of the Fender 70's classic basses, they're nice but a lot of people over on talkbas seem to be swapping things out on them, pickups etc. I also like the Marcus Miller bass, but I have to admit I'm not 100% on the pickguard. Laklands also look good, either the Daryll Jones or this one's really caught my eye, this looks very cool. http://www.lakland.com/ac_j-sonic.htm I like the Fender RI jazzes they look pretty cool. As do the Fender Victor Bailley basses. I don't really have a budget as such, at the moment I have about £500, but I don't mind waiting a few weeks, saving up and getting something better. Suggestions please !.
You know, seems to me that those buggers over the pond on Talkbass seem to spend more time swapping parts around on their basses and taking 400 photos of them from 200 different angles than they do actually playing them! The 70's Classic is a seriously nice bass straight out of the box, the pickups are fine.
14. The (live) bass player was/is a fella called Wayne Stobart. Not sure if he's still in 'em though. I went to school with him. He was a canny bass player even then!
