NEW Roland Vbass

You would think with all the Richard Bona reports lately that the Vbass would be top of everyone's xmas list! Here is a nice thread on Talkbass with some extra links and so on. The manual for the unit is now available for download. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=481588 Cheers ped
2. Window cleaner for me! Seriously! My fingerboard is phenolic though... ped
3. Who on earth is ped?
4. Where are you based?
5. Hmm if it was left with the natural wood finish it would look great in my house! ...and it would sound amazing, too! ped
6. Unfortunately I am one of them. This cab looks superb, and I bet it sounds just right. Good luck :0) ped
7. I used a playing card and found that the thickness of the card alone was enough to cure a wonky fretboard on an OLP ray I used to have. It was fine from then on. IIRC didn't Fenders sometimes have shims under the neck pockets from new? Cheers ped
8. Hi mate, Nice to meet you on Sunday and thanks for the ideas. I am going to discuss them with kiwi as I am sure they can be implemented easily. All the ideas so far have been great. I am not sure we need to do anything especially new other than keeping the forum running and maintained. Cheers ped
9. Needless to say I am extremely grateful to everyone who organised and attended the event. Congratulations to Mike257! Cheers ped
10. Just got in - superb day, very busy but great to meet so many people and spend some time with matt... I was blown away by Ylonda(SP?) Charles - just freakin' superb. Incredible. Off to bed I think, look forward to hearing from everyone else how the later acts went down. Shame I had to miss Bona but me and Urb had a god laugh with TM Stevens. What a ledge. Cheers ped
11. We did this on a previous version of the site and had many more basses than Basstasters (albeit in a less well presented package) I still have all the clips but nowhere to host them all. I will poke around and see how we can sort this out and then request more clips to add to the list... Cheers ped

Bass clips

Cheers mate! The synths are really fun as there are no tracking problems and they are polyphonic. You might say I am a synth player now rather than just a bassist!! ped
13. Hmm, never had the 'Live' version so unfamiliar with the pedal options/control, sorry.... ped
14. Cool stuff Tayste, I hope they are paying you! Keep them coming!
15. Awesome thread, keep them all coming... 16.
As far as im aware, you could quite easily bias the tubes a little colder (forgive the poor terminology, i dont really know what im on about) as the Trace V heads have that lovely bias trim on the back.
Not many have this feature actually, I think it was only the newer V4 and V8's. ped
17. I used to use that too but I didn't like the way it handled the top end as much, so I used the GK mostly ('eighties') which was very natural sounding with my bass. ped
18. ...Or is he ;0)

20. Crikey! That is very strange indeed. It wasn't Ashley Pangborn was it ;0) Nobody can seem to get hold of him! I wonder what the scary man would have done if the bass turned out to be a lemon and didn't get played? I would be on the first plane home just in case! ped
21. Very cool collection. I wonder how the South African ones compare to the Pang? I have always liked the look of them and it looks as though the S. African chap does some impressive work.. Cheers ped
22. Just to chime in and back up Jamie RE the quality of Marleaux instruments. This is a bit fancier than mine was and a real looker. The pre-amp is also my fave of all time! ped
23. Lovely stuff
24. Sounds interesting. I will view the video later on today and let you have my thoughts. I have always found though that the best way to become successful as a musician is to smile, be polite, friendly, have a laugh and have a go at everything! ped
25. Welcome! Which 'Shire' are you referring to?
