  2. I was expecting to see an Aldi OC-2 clone from the thread title! I had a Bossa jazz bass, it was fantastic.
  3. IEMs can be substantially enhanced by using a tactile feedback device such as a bassboard or backbeat. I still prefer an amplifier if I’m honest
  4. I bet someone sent him a telegram at the time slagging him off
  5. Always makes me wonder, when it says 'designed in collaboration with' - when it comes to a FSO, surely the input is 'this pickup, these knobs, that colour, make the pickguard extra ugly'. Hardly 'design', is it?
  6. DO NOT ASK lol - well, list it somewhere populated by mostly twats and you have to deal with the consequences mate!
  7. The Moog was from Etsy and the Tubescreamer from Bax 👍🏼
  8. Yes, but it’s a lot softer than the original 808 buffer circuit
  9. No changes to my board for a while now (OK I turned the tuner around), except I occasionally 'guest' a pedal in the Meatball loop. Do you all like my massive Tubescreamer pillow? 😆
  10. Are you blocking cookies
  11. ..or destroy it!
  12. Here’s the original Mutron manual Musitronics Mutron III manual.pdf
  13. Somehow I didn't like the mix setting on the Qtron, and I found the voicing on the BEF was 100% better turned to zero as I really didn't like the vowel like character as you turned the dial... great pedal otherwise though.
  14. Yeah maybe - I think I didn't really use it because there was no easy way to blend in clean. Just another way the meatball improved on the design imo
  15. The MXR looks like it has lots of useful options. I did look at the MXR with the built in fuzz but it doesn't take a battery which put me off, as when I use this it'll be added to my pedalboard without actually being mounted, sort of like a guest patch-in. The OC2 uses so little battery that it'll work fir a long time before it needs changing, whereas using the MXR I'd have to have a separate adapter or a spare output from my Cioks and a messy loose cable when it's not being used.
  16. Hm it's usually the best unless you're blending in some clean, in which case Band Pass can work really well too. But on the original Mutron, LP was the only mode that sounded good with bass.
  17. Just bought a pedal from Bert, very quickly posted and as described. Great seller! Cheers
  18. Just bought this modded OC2 from here. I wanted a single pedal which I could throw in the loop of my Meatball filter to give an octave synth sound, so this is perfect as it gives both octaves with a delicious fuzz which pairs with the filter perfectly.
  19. They’re super enthusiastic about a very small handful of manufacturers and players.
  20. Eich BC112pro solved all my problems. Amazing DI, flexible EQ and tilt control (great for adjusting the character for different basses) and it leans back for monitoring without needing a compromised wedge shaped enclosure. Very light and well made. You can turn off the cab and use the amplifier for headphone practice too. I always liked the idea of a good combo but found the problem was that they fired at my feet so this solves that problem really well. I’ve never heard myself better on stage. I tend to put it to my side between me and my drummer.
  21. This is the way 👍🏼 @TheGreek I’ll give you a sub so you can post there if you like. I’d love to buy Nick’s Vigier Arpege but I fear I won’t be able to afford it right now. I’ll see if I can sell some things.
  22. This is the way 👍🏼
  23. Hi folks I just saw this post https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/instruments_de_musique/2966166271 I still keep an eye out for Vigier things and I thought these pickups looked interesting. The single coil Benedetti pickups are indeed fantastic but can be noisy in some applications and before they introduced the hum reducing circuit. Cheers ped
