  1. Kind of sounds like poor tracking to me!
  2. I was going to say Optima Gold but they have silk at both ends. The other option was DR but they are a much lighter colour. https://m.bonedo.de/artikel/einzelansicht/vergleichstest-flatwound-saiten-fuer-e-bass/2.html
  3. I’ve got those and the silks are red
  4. We’re entirely open and fair on BC so no problem with you asking about things at all. Like I say just flag anything you have seen and I’ll have a look behind the scenes. As long as you don’t ask why I’m posting from the Caymans then it’s all fine.
  5. Feel free to flag anything you think is suspicious. We have a pretty good AI system that will identify anything untoward especially duplicate accounts.
  6. ...and tunas
  7. Needs a decent scratch plate

  9. Sounds like an octave up blended with clean to me - possibly one down too but can’t tell on my phone!

I just bought a Ditto X2 so look forward to playing with it!
  11. Yes all good this end - just need to get my supplier to sort it out now. The previous one left me in the lurch a bit but I’ve found a newer and better one I’m currently working with. Even so the lead time will be weeks and then postage a few more so don’t hold your breath!! Cheers for the support everyone I’ll email you all updates via the product site ASAP.
  12. I’m as confused as you are
  13. Great post Chris
  14. These are the my fave, very comfortable, padded area is massive and starts early after the pin, and the strap is super lightweight.

Yeah I used to have a DL4. I think the ditto ticks all the boxes. What’s the battery life like, and does it drain when the unit is bypassed?

Thanks yes the X2 looks great. I like the idea of not having to double tap a switch.

I’m looking for ideas and experiences! The Digitech Jamman looks pretty good.

Hi folks I’m looking for a looper pedal. It doesn’t have to be super complicated, all I’ll really want is something to record a groove and play over with a few synth lines and remove and redo. My main concern is making a clean ‘take’ so that the loop keeps good time. I’ve tried a few devices that have looping but getting the ‘press’ right can be a bit fiddly. However I tried a Boss one a while back that just seemed to ‘know’ what I wanted and seemed very easy to use. Bonus points if: Battery power option Built in beats True bypass Priced up to about £150 Cheers ped
  19. Yeah sure Welcome
  20. It still sounds like a bass and sounds great playing along with stuff. So don’t fall into the trap of thinking it’s substituting a bass, it’s a different bass that’s all. Still sounds ‘bassy’ and fat. An octaver adds options, one of which is normal bass range, but even with a polyphonic octaver with perfect tracking it’s not what these are all about imo. They’re simply great fun and hugely flexible/inspiring and of course amazing for synths!
  21. Interesting! I’ve been playing mine a lot with my Future Impact pedal which sounds great with it due to so many patches being ‘octaved’ - I’m sure those fat strings are cool but I like the flexible feel of the normal gauge. Actually I’ve got standard gauge EADGC strings on mine but dropped to ADADG so even lighter than normal but it feels great to play.
  22. The deal is back to normal now (10%)
  23. I’m wondering if there’s any possible combinations left for Fender to exploit 😂
  24. Depends on what we accept as the definition of boutique but I guess being something custom made rather than ‘off the peg’ counts? My other two are standard models (or were when they came out) albeit modified to some degree, but this one was made to order.
