1.
A lot of the CS stuff is beautiful. I just wish someone, somewhere, would start making tort like they used to way back when. The new stuff jars my anorak a little bit.
I know its a bit OT but this lot make really good repro celluloid guards (I have one on my 63P) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/62-64-Fender-Jazz-pickguard-celluloid-Nitrate-/200635187569?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item2eb6ca0171
2. Also posted in Marketplace Items Wanted but thought this might get spotted more easily by Wizzy owners in the DB forum http://basschat.co.uk/topic/157574-wanted-ea-wizzy-10-cab/page__pid__1400150#entry1400150
3. Got some strings from Howard. Lovely jubbly, always
4. FYI, it asks for a password when you click on the pics link
5. Oi! Keep me out of this. I am on a mission to reduce my bass gear arsenal right now, in any case (1 acoustic bass, 1 amp and, err, 1 pickup sold in last week)
6. Apologies for jocular intermission - I am also in the camp that thinks your bass is bl**dy gorgeous and I bet its gone within a very few days
7. OK, hands up! Who saw Lysdexia posting a bass for sale called a Growler and expected some interesting and creative photography involving a comely female assistant?
8.
I like that a lot ..
the beard?
9. Looks like I am double booked for the evening after further consultation with Mrs C
10.
I'd be interested if it was a Deep 5!
So you're still in the running Jack!
11. Nice one, thanks Wayne I seem to be another whose PC will not upload from a Pictures folder to BC, either with the Basic or Advanced Uploader ....
12. I seem incapable of uploading pics So have uploaded a couple to my Flickr account - click on Gear porn link in my sig below
13. I've wanted it back ever since I foolishly sold it you, Keith
14. Looks like this is sold pending the usual - thanks again Ou7shined for adding in your words of wisdom
15. as in G string falling off edge of board?
16. BTW, I just spotted you are in Greece. Obviously the postage inclusive price I mentioned was for the UK, would have to be a bit higher for outside UK
17. Not going to be able to help, unfortunately, as I've never heard a Fralin and - re noise - its still in its box (not installed)! Web reviews tend to cite this as the best as does BC'er Ou7shined - maybe he can help here ? I will PM him and ask him to chip in
18. I bought this to add to my '53 relic but have decided I am quite happy with the sound of the Seymour Duncan thats on there already (having sorted the pickup height and put new La Bella flatwound strings on). Those who know these, know they are the best '50s type single coil Precision pickups around. I paid about £70 including postage from Charlie Chandlers (see link below). Not even taken out of box. £55 posted to you. 19. Recently bought from GuitarGuitar and only used for one rehearsal when I realised its not loud enough for my band. Wonderful clear sound but just not enough balls to compete with Rattlin Bone (I thought it would be able to as we don't play as loud in rehearsal as we do live ... but turns out we are still quite loud!) Cost me £399 and its the rarely seen red version (stock pic below). Comes with cute gig bag with shoulder strap. Collection/meet-up only in London as I don't have the box any more and have nothing else to post it in. Its basically mint and only has a few hours on it so looking for £350 ono. Prefer cash but would consider some sort of trade for an EA Wizzy 10 or Epifani UL110 (I already have a 12" cab, so has to be 10") Specifications for this product from the website:Bass Cub BG-100Lightweight bass combo,100W output,2CH,2 x 3 band EQ,limiter,Bass and AUX and MIC input, headphone out,DI out,pre-amp out12 x 10.8 x 7.8 inch (W x D x H)2 x PJB NeoPower Type A13.2 lbs / 6 kg 100 to 240V AC http://www.philjones...roducts/?id=120

24. The lead lady vocalist in Rattlin Bone, Karena Kelly, releases her debut solo single 'Midnight Walk ' on iTunes and all the usual channels on Monday. Its already available on vibedeck, so you can take a listen (and download if you like it ) Its a smooth, jazzy song with (to my ears) a cool Carole King vibe and I think it could be a mainstream radio hit if it got the right airplay. Link: http://vibedeck.com/karenak (note this is updated for new URL from my first post and should work now) It marks my first ever recording on fretless (the Fender '71 P/J thats now owned by BC's Mr_Bassman, aka Keith) and was mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Very exciting list of other featured artists: Kareña K : all instrumentation and soprano sax. All vocals Percussion: Mingo Lewis (Santana) Baritone and Tenor Sax: Ron Bertolet (Bobby Caldwell) Trombone and Trumpet: Danny Flam (everyone from Kanye West to Israeli Philharmonic) Clarky: Electric Bass Production: Wily Bo Walker
