3. Lozbass has one and recommends it highly too
4. Don't question, just enjoy! Good news Al
5. I will be at the Jetsonics gig too, so hopefully next time BRX
6. This is now gone and residing (happily of course) with Happy Jack
7. Making my fourth appearance on this page (yikes), I just traded my fretless Wal for Jack's Alleva LG4 (which i sold to him a few months ago - don't ask). We really should stop mucking around, dig a tunnel between our music rooms, and pool our gear! If Beedster can tunnel from Canterbury to West London, he's in too!
8. Perhaps get some 'budget SIMS-alike' LEDs from Fretfx until you are comfortable with your fretless intonation on stage and then take them off and throw away? https://fretfx.com/
9. Best of luck! However I bet I wasn't the only one that thought from the title this was another of those flouncing off, "I'm leaving BassChat" threads that ends up with the protagonist being flamed for being too sensitive ("It's only a an internet forum, blah blah")
10. See you there Ad
11.
If this had a rosewood fingerboard - I'd now be handing over the dosh - type bump!!
There's a rosewood boarded Hot Rod at the Bass Gallery (check their website) Meanwhile bump for a really nice looking bass
12. Wonder why they said nothing? Here's Nigel's band by the way, folks:
13. Make some lovely Thunderbird-alikes and I know chris_b rates his PJ5 very highly http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Mike_Lull_On_order.html
14. Don't give up Al - advertise for a drummer (or lean on your ex-drummer to find a dep, playing the he-owes-you card) and keep the rest of the band together. You can rehearse without drummers (drum machine, tapes, click track) to keep the band motivated. Best of luck mate.
15. Great looking basses there
16. Sorry to hear this Gareth
17. They are indeed still available (B5 is looking after them for me)
18. Had just over two weeks off this summer in sun/beach locations and it was staggering how my callouses disappeared with swimming/lack of playing etc. The first rehearsal back was a painful blister-wracked affair
19. I'm 48 and I still live in hope of making it!
20. Hey Nige, if by any chance it doesn't arrive in time, I can lend you one of my basses mate
21. Tom Waits - Mule Variations
22. At least it wasn't dull! Well done for carrying it through ... And surviving to tell the tale! The next gig will almost detainly be a sedate affair:)
