Just thought of something else I'd trade for, I'd love a Chapman stick .
2. The new album from Steve Lawson, some very beautiful music. http://music.stevelawson.net
3. Seems to be mostly the only people making a fuss are people who don't appear to use Markbass gear anyway, odd .

5.
I use to practice for an hour a day but I just got fed up when I saw no massive improvement. Finding transcriptions proved a headache too, I mean you can only really sight read a piece once.. After that you remember notes and you start to rely on memory
There are hundreds of transcriptions out there, you just need to use google and you'll find them. There's a thread on here somewhere with links to loads of sites. The Jamerson book is excellent, I use cello transcriptions too, though these have some awkward fingerings sometimes, the cello is tuned in 5th not 4ths. Melody/head transcriptions are good practice too, the real book is an excellent source for these.
6.
In standard tuning (which is what we seem to be assuming), Bb is third fret on the G string, B is 9th fret on the D string, Db is 9th fret on the E string, F is 3rd fret on the D string and G is 5th fret on the D string, so all covered by fret markers.
Sorry, I've not long been up , I did misread. I was assuming going up the frets so, B being fret 2 A string, G being 10th etc. I didn't realise the OP was meaning any Db or whatever.
7. Not on mine, I just have 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 etc. You have dots on 1, 2, 8 and 10 then ?
8.
12th fret makes sense, but why 3, 5, 7, 9? Why not 2,4,6,8,10? Who decided and why? Another observation: Eb/D# and Ab/G# are the only notes not marked by dots on a 4 string bass.
What about Bb, B, Db, F, G, ? They don't have position markers either, or have I misread ?
9. Thought there was amp design in GarageBand ? It's been ages since I used it but it definitely used to have it.

11. Just don't pay for it, no need to raise a dispute or anything. That's for him to do if he wants, they can't force you to pay for something, especially if a fool has listed it wrongly.
12. A quick and simple string mute is tie a sock around the end of the bass neck. The hair band things usually lose their elasticity by the time you're stretched them over the tuner and the head stock.
13. Lots of useful stuff here for help with Logic. https://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=7cbcca4843a6d43a5de4063e7e92284b
14.
You guys could probably help me too ! I can read the notes in good time but the problem for me lies in rhythms. I'm not very comfortable with subdivisions and how to work them out. I've learnt stuff like havona, teen town which makes use of the sixteenth note divisions but thats all from ear so i've continuously stopped and worked it out. Now i play them without thinking but i couldnt write down what i was playing, if that made any sense?
Best thing I've found for rhythms is to break the bar down into smaller sections, use a pencil and draw lines down isolating each beat. Clap or sing each beat then start practicing it on your bass. Get each beat down then separately then join them together and play the whole bar. Another useful thing is an app like Transcribe, Logic, Garageband or Sibelius. Stick the rhythm in and play it back so you can hear what's going on.

19. I'd be interested in the F1 plus cash to me. It has to be compact for travelling on trains and tubes.
20. Marco Minneman and Guthrie Govan play together in the Steven Wilson band, I saw them last year and was extremely impressed with the show, and would love to see this gig.
