1.
Still available? What are the internal dimensions?
PM'd- I'll add the internal dimensions to the main post for anyone else wondering...
2. I've just about recovered enough from yesterday's epic Liverpool-Glasgow round trip to leave some feedback, so here goes... I drove up and bought Tim's lovely Stentor double bass, fitted with Innovation Silver Slaps and a K&K mic/pickup system, for a very reasonable price- to say I'm pleased with my purchase is an understatement! I'm an absolute newbie to the DB, and although this was the only one I actually looked at before committing to buy, I very much doubt that I could have found a better starter instrument for the money. Tim very kindly threw in some very useful accessories (including a Simandl method book and a practise mute), which turned an already great deal into an unbeatable one! Tim is a lovely fellow, and couldn't have been any more helpful throughout the deal. Whether it was sending me comprehensive directions to his flat with accompanying pictures, or giving me loads of useful playing, transporting and technical tips- he really did go the extra mile, making this my best Basschat buying experience to date by far. You know you're dealing with a good man when there's a plate of Jaffa Cakes waiting for your attention when you first arrive... Thanks a million mate, it was a genuine pleasure to meet you! All the best, Etienne
3. Thanks very much for the kind words Tim, it was a pleasure to meet you too! Oh, and don't worry- I promise I'll take good care of her...
4. I picked up a used silverface Walkabout in excellent condition on here very recently, and can testify to the positive comments above- it's a fantastic sounding head, and puts out a lot of volume through the right cab, even with an 8ohm load. I own a pair of early-build Barefaced Compacts, and it can keep up with my band pretty easily using just one of them! It wipes the floor with the Shuttle 6.0 I used to own a while back for volume and weight of tone... The fan on mine is very quiet, even when I'm playing at very low volume in my living room. I paid £550 for mine including shipping, and consider that to be an absolute bargain...
5.
Great bags, these - Streamliner fits perfectly. By coincidence, I had to sell mine... because I moved to a Walkabout!
Thanks Michael! Yes, I've seen the light with the WA- it sounds amazing through my Compact!
6. Hi everyone, This great little bag has served me very well over the last couple of years, but it's too small unfortunately to fit my recently acquired Mesa Walkabout head in, and since I've just bought a Mono bass case that has room for all my accessories, I don't need to keep it as a leads bag either. It will accommodate the usual micro-head suspects (LM-II/III, Shuttle 3/6/9 & Streamliner, G-K MB, etc). It's the older black dragon print design, and is in pretty good shape considering how many gigs it's done- the webbing that wraps around outside of the bag is slightly bobbled, but that's about it. All the zips work great, and the velcro retaining strap in the main compartment still grips really well too. The plush lining inside all the compartments is in great shape throughout- no rips or snags. The only issue is that the lining of the small pocket on the inside of the main flap has torn (but it's still fine to stash a couple of folded-up setlists in). The approximate internal dimensions of the main compartment are as follows: W: 300mm L: 280mm D: 85mm I'm looking for just [s]£30[/s] £25 for this- no offers please! I will accept a bank transfer, or Paypal (if sent as a gift). The price includes UK shipping. ***SOLD PENDING PAYMENT*** Thanks for looking! 8. Hi mate, do you have any pictures of this at all?

Mr. Foxen

Oli just took delivery of my Para Driver DI- no nonsense, fast payment and good comms... as it should be! Thanks mate, enjoy it! Etienne
10.
DAMN! I was looking for one of these as well... Can I have second dibs if the sale doesn't go through?
Just received payment this morning, so this has definitely gone now mate... sorry! You never know though, this could be the start of a load of Paradrivers flooding the FS section...
11. Hi everyone, I bought this on the forum earlier in the year to try out of curiosity, as it was probably the only stompbox preamp that I hadn't got my hands on until then! Like the others that I've owned (Tone Hammer, BDDI, MXR, Sadowsky, etc) it hasn't seen much action, as I am still more than happy with the post-EQ DI from my Gallien-Krueger head for most of my live work. I was going to keep it as a backup, but to be honest, the cash would come in handy... As the photos show, it's in very good condition, and works perfectly. There's a small paint flaw on one of the sides of the casing, but nothing to worry about really. It's fitted with a 9v Duracell battery, and comes boxed with the instructions and warranty card included. The rubber feet were removed by the previous owner, and Velcro tape is stuck to the base. I paid £100 for this just a few months ago, and would like the same back- no offers please! The price includes UK mainland postage. ***SOLD*** PM me if you're interested, thanks for looking! Etienne
12. I just took delivery of Pete's Mesa/Boogie Walkabout head this morning- it arrived when he said it would, perfectly packaged and described to a tee! A very fair price too for the great condition it's in. Needless to say, it sounds fantastic as well... can't believe I've waited this long to get one! As many others have already said, buy in confidence from this man... Thanks mate, Etienne
13. Just giving this a quick bump for John- he's a top bloke and this is a lovely bass... Good luck with the sale mate!
14. Just seen this Bobby- sorry to hear you need to move this on! Was this the bass you used on the Kate Bush tribute show mate?
15. You could give Roland Lumby a try mate- he's based in Salford and knows his stuff! He's a valve amp specialist but can bring all kinds of gear back to full health... hope he can fix my knackered Simms-Watts head! 16. Just heard the news a short while ago... What a player, what a sound! RIP Duck...
17. Thanks for the link Michael, hope you're well! It's always good to hear Mr Sklar's opinion on things...
18. I just traded my Aguilar Tone Hammer for Sean's Catalinbread SFT. He posted the pedal yesterday within hours of agreeing on the trade, and it arrived at lunchtime today- swift service! The pedal is in great nick and was packed well for the trip too. Communication has been excellent, like pretty much every Basschatter I've dealt with... Thanks mate! Etienne
19. Now traded for a Catalinbread SFT... thanks for the interest!
20.
Thanks for the quick reply, have a bump on me. I was wanting this to A/B against my M-80 but it doesn't sound like it will work in the way I want it to. Does sound incredible though from all the demos I've heard, lemme have a think. Thanks mate, no problem...

You have a PM
Replied...
21.
What is the volume discrepancy like with the AGS curcuit engaged? I love how it sounds but I'm put off by the lack of dedicated volume control for the gain circuit.
The overall level does go up quite a bit when the AGS is kicked in- too much to be able to change between two sounds on a gig. To be honest though, you won't get the best of what the AGS circuit can offer just by switching it in and out using your clean EQ settings. Have a read of this to understand why...
