I'm just in 'that' frame of mind at the moment - everything's in flux. I have a feeling that in three or four months' time, only my two Precisions will remain, and everything else will be different.
Hey Michael, this is interesting reading indeed! Are you really considering moving on the Bergs?! GAS for a pair of Baer ML112s by any chance?

Matt just took delivery of my Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II this afternoon- another top Basschatter! Very fast payment, great communication, and comes across as a nice bloke too. Thanks mate, hope you enjoy blowing down some walls with it!

Thanks for the bump mate, you read my mind! Just thought I'd add that since taking delivery of a lovely 700RB-II head this morning, this amp will now be posted in a genuine GK shipping box, complete with manual & shiny new mains lead! As an added bonus for potential buyers not wishing to rack-mount, the new head has kindly donated its side-mounted carry-handle and 4 rubber feet to its big brother. This means that the amp is now totally complete, with all the trimmings that you'd expect from buying new, and all for £350!

I just took delivery of a Gallien-Krueger 700RB-II head from Simon this morning- a quality bass amp described to a tee, great comms throughout, and dispatched quickly with decent packing... all good stuff! Many thanks mate, am sure we'll deal again at some point! Regards, Etienne
I really like my Epi Rumblekat. It's a real head turner. I must get some flats for mine. Could I ask if you know what make the hard case is, please? I'd like to buy one for mine and the original Epi hardcases are as rare as the proverbial rocking horse excreta.
Unfortunately, I have no idea I'm afraid! There's no sign of a manufacturer's label on the case to suggest its origin- mine isn't an exact fit for the instrument anyway, so am sure there are better options available out there!
is this still available?
Looks like I already have a buyer lined up, but I'll let you know if anything changes...

Epiphone Allen Woody Sig. Rumblekat Limited Edition Bass Guitar

PS for playing round the house unplugged (as I do in the evenings), the Rumblekat is a good call- mine's surprisingly loud (due to the chambered body I'm sure)... -
Epiphone Allen Woody Sig. Rumblekat Limited Edition Bass Guitar
Etienne replied to skej21's topic in Bass Guitars
Ha ha, sorry about that! Yeah, Epiphone do have some nicely made stuff- I had a Jack Casady bass a couple of years ago, and loved the sound of it, but couldn't get on with the neck dive and the size of the body. If they put the pickup and electronics from the JC into the Rumblekat, I'd buy one without hesitation! -
Epiphone Allen Woody Sig. Rumblekat Limited Edition Bass Guitar
Etienne replied to skej21's topic in Bass Guitars
In the interests of disclosure, I should mention that I'm currently selling one of these! The quality of these is very good at the price point IMO- I handle and work on Korean-made guitars and basses on a daily basis in my job, and the quality is comparable with instruments selling at twice the RRP of this. I'm selling mine purely because the neck + middle pickup arrangement doesn't really gel with the tone that I want to achieve, and I have too many instruments anyway! The short-scale makes this effortless to get around on, and the neck has a nice comfortable profile (narrower width than a P-bass, slightly deeper than a Jazz). The short scale means that it balances well on a strap, despite the body shape and the light weight of the instrument. I think I'm just a died-in-the-wool Fenderhead when all's said and done, despite my attempts to branch out... Hope that helps! -
Hi everyone, This has been my main gigging head for several years now, and it hasn't missed a beat once. It's been racked in an SKB case the whole time I've owned it, so it's in very good condition, and everything works as it should. The only reason I'm selling is because I have just downsized (in power anyway!) to its little brother the 700RB-II... I've recently changed my speaker setup from a single Barefaced Compact to a Berg HS410, and I just don't need the massive power & headroom that this provides anymore! EDIT: Comes with rack ears installed, in a GK shipping box complete with manual and as-new power cable. Although not shown in the photo, the 4 rubber feet on the base and carry handle are fitted! The power section puts out a whopping 700W @ 4ohms/460W @ 8ohms, plus a separate 50W tweeter amp for those of you with GK cabs (I never used this feature myself). This amp is a fantastic match with the BF Compact IMHO- plenty of juice to work the Eminence driver hard, with fantastic tone at loud rock drummer levels of volume, whilst giving the head a pretty easy ride... I'm after just £350 for this- the price includes UK postage. No offers please! Will reduce the price of course if the buyer collects from Liverpool city centre. EDIT: NOW SOLD PM me if interested, thanks! Etienne http://

Happy New Year everyone! I bought this from BC's ikay in early November- it's a fine instrument and great value for money, but after gigging it a couple of times, I've decided that it's not for me tone-wise. Since owning it, I've set it up with medium-high action, given the frets a polish, and tweaked a high fret that was buzzing slightly. The shortscale D'addario rounds fitted are still in great shape, and the bass positively thunders through my Walkabout/Berg rig... Here's a couple of pics: http:// http:// http:// The hard case is included of course! I paid £225 for this (including shipping)- I will accept £210 including UK shipping- no offers please! EDIT: NOW SOLD Of course, I'd be happy to let this go for a bit less if it's collected from Liverpool city centre. Not currently interested in trades, but will have a think and update the thread if GAS strikes... PM me if interested, and thanks for looking!
