1.
I am in love with this bass!!! Get a bump
Thanks mate, it is a lovely instrument indeed!

 3. Weekend bump... considering keeping this and relocating the neck pickup further back- get in there before I make my mind up!
 4. Just took delivery of Andy's {sfx} H-1 headphone amp- great bit of kit at a bargain price, and delivered pretty quickly too! Thanks mate...
 5. Another gold star here for Jim! I took delivery of his other Hipshot D-tuner yesterday- shipped out the same day as payment, packed really well, and arrived well within 24hrs... couldn't ask for more! Thanks mate...
 6. Hi everyone, I bought this back in June from Harry AKA Hazbeen (great bloke!)- these are fantastic playing and sounding instruments as many of you will know. It's the passive model (V-V-T controls), and has the single-coil Chisonics fitted. These models came with the Plek setup as standard, so you can set the action absurdly low if that's your preference! Cosmetically, I'd say it's 7/10- it's been gigged by myself and the previous owner, so there are a few very minor scratches and dings (see photos), but nothing to worry about. It plays great, and is currently fitted with Ernie Ball rounds (strung through the body). Weight-wise, it comes in at just under 9lbs (or 4KG exactly), measured with my reasonably-accurate luggage scales. I'll accept £520 for this, which includes UK shipping, a good-quality padded gigbag, and a spare set of strings (D'addario XL nickel rounds- fitted once, but very little use). EDIT: NOW WITHDRAWN... Etienne
 7. I've just taken delivery of Harry's Lakland Skyline Decade- a superb bass from undoubtedly one of the BC community's most upstanding members... The bass arrived fast from the Netherlands, and in great condition too, thanks to super-quick international shipping, and the most thorough packaging of an instrument that I can ever recall seeing in all my years of buying gear! Add this to keen pricing, friendly and regular communication, and willingness to go the extra mile, and you can't lose! I highly, highly recommend this fellow... Thanks again Harry! Etienne
 8. Thanks Harry, the pleasure was mine!
 9.
Just sold my Boss oc-2 octaver to Etienne, good communication throughout and many thanks again. Hope you enjoy playing with it!
Thankyou Mark!
Bought a bass from Etienne. Met up, sorry we didn't have more time to chat. Great chap to do business with and a very decent fellow. Excellent communication throughout, buy with total confidence. Many thanks.
And thankyou too Mark!
 10. I met up with Mark (and his son Daniel) earlier on this afternoon to hand him over the Fender Roscoe Beck V that he bought from me- what a lovely bloke! We had a good chat about music over coffee and cake, which only came to an end because I was running late to meet another Basschatter (coincidentally also called Mark). As far as the deal went, it couldn't have been any smoother- communication was excellent, and very quick, hassle-free payment too. It was a pleasure to have met you both, and I'm glad you finally got your hands on the bass you wanted Mark! Best wishes mate, Etienne
 11. I just bought Mark's Boss OC-2 this afternoon- great bit of kit! Mark came across as a lovely bloke, and knocked a few quid off the price as I was collecting the pedal in person... recommended!
 12.
Cheers, Etienne! As it 'appens, I really like the tweeterless top-end of the EX112ER. I think I prefer it to the HT with the horn rolled off. I might go for another EX and run a pair of 'em...
I've not spent enough time with a HT112ER to hear the difference between it and the EX, but I'll take your word for it! Agreed that the EX's have a great top end on them as they are- more than enough for most people's needs. I usually back the treble control down to 10, sometimes 9 o'clock on my WA when I use mine, and there's still plenty of life in the sound for my taste. HT/EX or EX/EX, it's an amazing sounding rig, whatever you end up going with!
 13. Good choice Michael! I'm fortunate enough to have a pair of EX112ERs and the HS410- my Walkabout works brilliantly with either setup. Have to say that the 12's edge it for me with a P-Bass, whilst the 10's nail it for me with a Jazz...
 14.
The world is your oyster now
Indeed!
 15.
That was quick!
I know, it surprised me too! Now... what do I spend the proceeds on?
 16. Thanks for the kind words Nik! It's been a short honeymoon with this, but I guess I had to try it to find out if the 5-string thing was still me or not... As it happens, I did have a Roscoe Beck 4-string in Lake Placid Blue a few years back, which unfortunately I had to sell when money was tighter... still miss that one! I'll see what happens over the next few days... maybe she'll come back to me! PS The XL's feel great on the RBV- the B-string in particular feels and sounds much tighter compared to its Elixir counterpart...
 17.
If you do end up getting a BB2000, bring it round and we'll compare notes lol Did you have this 5 string beast last time I was round? Looks ace
Ha ha, of course- it would need the Bobby K stamp of approval... Drop me a text and we'll sort out a catch-up!
 18.
Etienne lives around the corner from me and is an absolute gentleman You can deal with him with total confidence All the best with it Et
Thanks mate, appreciate that! Hope you're well... PS Pics now added at the top!
 19. Hi everyone, I bought this very recently from fellow BC'er (and super nice guy) silverfoxnik to get myself back into the 5-string world after several years away. After living with and playing this for a bit, I'm pretty convinced that 4 strings are still where it's at for me... it was nice while it lasted though! This is the second RBV I've owned, and it's a touch lighter and more resonant than I remember my previous sunburst one being. Since taking ownership, I've cleaned the frets and fingerboard, given the bass a bit of a set-up to suit my playing style (medium high action), and installed a brand-new set of D'Addario XL nickel-wounds, strung through the body. I feel that these suit the instrument better than the barely-used set of Elixirs it came with, but I'll include the old set so that you can judge for yourself! Here's the link to Nik's FS thread with some pics: http://basschat.co.u...__roscoe%20beck The bass comes with a well-used but functional Hiscox hard case (branded 'T-Bass by Trace Elliot'), the old set of Elixirs in the new D'Addario's packet, plus the plastic wallet containing the manual, control function sheets and hang tags. I'm looking for £1050 for this, including fully insured UK shipping (which is what I paid Nik for it), which means that I'm giving you the box-fresh set of D'Addario's for free! EDIT: SOLD AND GONE- 07/06/2013 Viewing/collection is highly recommended for this lovely instrument (I'm in Liverpool City Centre by Sefton Park). Please note: I will not ship the bass unless it's inside the Hiscox case I'm afraid, but I will happily sell it without if the bass is collected in person- I will of course adjust the price down accordingly. Please PM me if interested, thanks for looking! Etienne
