Hi everyone, After recently acquiring another one of these fine cabs in a trade with my good mate Jake (AKA jc_riffs), I have come to my senses and realised that owning three EX112ERs is just plain silly , so I've decided to move one on. This particular cab for sale is the earlier version of the ER, which has a rubberised strap handle on the top of the cab (instead of the later version's side-mounted recessed metal handle). EDIT: Just to clarify, this is definitely the deeper ER cab, despite it saying 'EX112' on the back panel! It's in great condition both inside and out- just some minor scuffing to the plastic corners from being loaded/unloaded at gigs. I have carefully removed and stored the logo badge in a safe place since owning the cab- it will of course be included in the sale, and can be easily reattached if desired. EDIT: Badge has now been reattached to the cab. The padded Berg cover has done a great job of keeping the carpet pristine, and is in very good condition too. I recently used this particular cab with my Mesa Walkabout head for a mate's album session, and it sounded amazing! Power handling is 350W @ 8ohms, but I'd suggest that's a pretty conservative rating- it can certainly put out a lot of sound with the right amp pushing it! Height: 15 3/4" or 40cm Width: 18 1/2" or 47cm Depth: 15" or 38cm Weight: 40lbs or 18.1KG I'm after [s]£380[/s] [s]£370[/s] £360 for this, which includes packing and shipping within the UK mainland. No offers please! EDIT: SOLD (pending payment)- thanks for looking! Etienne
That's gorgeous - I love the Decade
Thanks, it now sounds as good as it feels to play!
ooooh, lovely ! i bet it sounds insanely good. it's something i've wondered about doing on mine. do you have any problems with the pickup earthing if you touch the pickup surrounds ?
Thanks! I was weighing it up for a while before taking the plunge, but it's turned out great- better than I hoped! I had the talented chaps at KGB Music in Birkenhead relocate the neck pickup and fabricate a custom scratchplate- it looks like a factory job. The neck pickup's poles are now in exactly the same position as they would be on a Jazz Bass neck pickup, whilst the bridge pickup's poles fall pretty much exactly between 60's and 70's Jazz spacing. As you'd expect, the tone falls squarely into classic Jazz Bass territory, but with an extra kick to the low end- cops the aggressive Geddy Lee tone with ease with the tone full up, and a floor-shaking dub reggae tone with it rolled off. I don't recall any pickup earthing problems with mine before the work was done, but I'm sure that a thorough copper-shielding job would probably cure the issues you describe. I got KGB to copper-shield all the cavities whilst the bass was in bits, and it's now super-quiet with both pickups on full...

Jake popped round to my flat earlier this evening to swap his Bergantino EX112ER (plus a smidge of cash) for my HS410. Jake and I are mates outside of Basschat, but this is the first time we've done a deal as far as I can recall- surprising with the amount of gear that's collectively passed through our hands in recent times! Anyway, things went as smoothly as you could want- the only doubt of the deal was whether the HS410 would fit in Jake's Audi's boot (it did... just!). As mentioned above, he's a good bloke to deal with, and looks after his gear- I only hope he holds onto this particular cab for a while! Ta mate, talk soon! Et

Hi everyone, My new year clearout continues! Selling this as it's just not seeing much use unfortunately- I do almost all my gigs with my pair of Berg EX112ERs now, which are easier to get in and out of my first-floor flat. It's in great condition inside and out, sounds as good as its reputation would suggest, and works perfectly. The castors all run smoothly, and the cover is in really good condition too. Power handling: 800W @ 4ohms. Weight: 85lbs/38.5KG (easier to lift and carry than you'd think though). I would like a firm £500 for this. No offers please- it's a bargain already! A cash sale would be ideal (as I'm currently saving for a car), but I will also consider trading for another Berg EX112ER with cover, plus cash my way. ***TRADED + GONE: 15/01/14*** Realistically, this will need to be collected. I live just 5mins outside Liverpool city centre, by Sefton Park. I can promise a warm welcome and a cup of tea to any interested parties making the journey if that helps! PM me if interested, and thanks for looking. Etienne

Sean bought my Matamp 212B cab earlier this afternoon, driving all the way from Gloucester in post-Xmas traffic to collect it... that's commitment! An absolute gent to deal with, and things couldn't have gone any smoother- highly recommended! Enjoy the rehearsal tomorrow mate...
I just bought a proper man's bass cab from Etienne and it's fabulous. Etienne's a Great bloke - he's already got top feedback, you don't need to take it from me alone ;-) This cab is gonna be married to my ex-Beedster 400+ And will be aired at rehearsal on Sunday. Another proper Basschatter and another great deal. eBay-type feedback: five stars, great seller, would recommend. Traffic was a nightmare going home but the creamy sounds made it all worth while. Have a great NYE gig ;-)
Thanks Sean, appreciate that!

Merry Christmas Basschatters! I'm starting early with my New Year's resolutions, and selling the gear I don't use enough. First up is my Matamp 212B, in black tolex finish with salt & pepper grille cloth, and fitted with a pair of 300W 8ohm Celestions. I bought this to pair up with my Simms-Watts PA100 head (shown below- not for sale!), and for this reason, my sound engineer flatmate and I installed a series/parallel switch on the back panel to allow it to run at either 4 or 16ohms impedance (the latter setting matches the S-W's output transformer). Speakon output only, but I will include a short jack-to-Speakon lead in the sale. The cab performs faultlessly on either setting, sounds great, and is in very good overall condition. The tolex has a few small tears on the bottom edge from being transported between rehearsal rooms, but that's about it. Only gigged a couple of times since I've owned it, and certainly never abused! It has two wooden skids on the base for vertical use, and four rubber feet on one side for horizontal use. Will also be supplied with two logo grille badges. I would like just £250 for this. No offers please! *EDIT- SOLD, pending collection this weekend* Viewing/testing/collection encouraged- I live just outside Liverpool city centre, by Sefton Park. I can arrange delivery via UPS at extra cost to interested parties further afield. Please PM me for further info- thanks for looking! Etienne

Marc bought my K&K upright pickup system recently- he's a thoroughly decent chap and a pleasure to deal with... Thanks mate! Etienne

Just bought Clarky's K&K Bassmax pickup- did the deal late on Thursday evening, and it arrived this lunchtime. Looks mint and works perfectly- fantastic! Thanks mate, nice one! Et

Hi everyone, I'm selling as I've just bought a Bassmax piezo-only pickup from Clarky to use with my Fdeck pre for live stuff, so this complete system is now surplus to requirements! The system comprises of the combination Golden Bullet DB mic and Bassmax contact piezo, the dual-channel Golden Trinity 9V-powered preamp (with internal trim pot tool), and a 6-foot approx, stereo jack lead to connect the mic/pickup to the preamp. I'll also throw in a couple of cable ties to help secure the mic assembly to the bridge. Everything works as intended, and is in good condition. After a firm £100 for the lot, including UK mainland shipping. No offers please! EDIT: SOLD & GONE! Please PM if interested and/or to ask further questions- thanks for looking. Etienne

Colin recently bought a double bass mute from me- another good egg here in the BC community! Paid swiftly and was on the ball with communication too- a pleasure to deal with. Thanks mate! Etienne

Hi everyone, These are the original factory-fitted strings that came as part of the deal with my Stentor Student 3/4, but as I bought it with Innovation Silver Slaps already installed, I can't see myself ever using them! I don't think they've seen much use, and they look to be in good condition. Perfect for a budget project! I'll also throw in a tub of Stentor-branded rosin which I don't need. After [s]£16[/s] £12 for the lot, including UK mainland postage. EDIT: NOW SOLD. PM if interested, cheers! Etienne
