The real low point of the Bill Boreford book for me was the almost naked comtempt he shows for the now-universal part of the job of meeting the punters and flogging CDs at the end of the gig.
To be fair, he does show some humility and reflection about his time in Gong. He more-or-less says that he didn't 'get them' at all at the time but now realises it was his problem not theirs. I'd love to hear what they'd say about him (if they could remember...)
