  3. The Wirral! Not Paradise!
  4. I might be totally wrong but I would have thought that a lot of 70's players would have owned 60's maybe late 50's P basses, 80's bands using 70's basses etc etc. So looking right might be subjective? I know there are definite exceptions to to this though. Getting a 70's P that sounds right could be very difficult too, especially if the tracks you want to cover were indeed recorded and played on a bass 10 years older! Perhaps no-one but yourself would know the difference anyway! Good luck with the search, I'd like to be looking for an Oly white 70's P bass myself! 😀
  5. I really want this but I'm skint until something sells! Always the case! If anything happens, I'll get back post haste!
  6. Great cabs. Really great cabs. Really great rehearsal room too! Wish ours was as well stocked. 😂😂🍺🍺🍺 Glwts
  7. Thanks. I'm in the North West. If I hear anything I'll give you a shout.
  8. Sorry to hear that. Theiving bastords. Quality stuff too. Where were they stolen?
  9. Barefaced Compact plus a Midget and an Orange TB500. The older Orange have a 4ohm 8ohm switch and so you can use one or both of the cabs at full power (not that you would need it all I would have thought). Huge sounding rig that can be broken down to make a smaller rig if needs be. Real lightweight and compact rig. Or, a BF FR800 (or pair) with a preamp of your choice. Plenty Ampeg and clones available. Another monstrous setup with very little weight.
  10. Used the head version of this tonight. A very nice piece of kit indeed. Lovely tones. GLWTS.
  11. 😂😂😂 Seriously though, I had the TB500 with a BF Midget and Compact. Absolutely phenomenal. Sold that as I am a complete tool and later got a TB1000 with 2 Ashdown 4x8's. Louder than thunder and sounded second to none. Sold that as I became a bigger tool. Best rigs I've ever owned (must mention my Eden Metro rig though as it would be rude not to) and I've had more than many! Maybe not as many as Karlfer or Beedster though! My heart always skips a beat when an Orange TB (or anything Orange really) goes up for sale. You can rest soundly knowing that I'll be awake thinking of your little amp!
  12. If you send me £50 by PayPal as a gift. I'll turn a blind eye... 😂😂😂
  13. Bump for an amp that needs selling before I do something really stupid!
  14. You are doing it again Paul! I really don't need a wireless system but but but now, I really want one! Now, I really really want one! You should just PM me if you are selling anything, be it a bass, a car, your house , anything really. Give me time to get over the impending advert as we seem to share very similar tastes.😀 Mrs itsmedunc may be up for px soon. Depending on what you decide to sell next of course! 😂😂😂😂 GLWTS
  15. Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated. I'll still be thinking about it in my sleep! I've had a soft spot for Orange head and BF combinations for a number of years. FRFR is still the best way forward for me unfortunately though but that does nothing to quell the want!
  16. Top rig. I'm sure I've read somewhere that the TKS houses the same driver as a BF Compact? If so, that would mean that it should be safe to go beyond the 450w? Maybe @alexclaber could enlighten us? Enclosures are a tricky business though that I'd not really given enough thought to until recently. I'm still far too tempted by this rig though!
  17. Agreed. It's blo0dy confusing! How did they get such a good speaker together at all when they can't sort its name out properly! 😄
  18. I had to become a member (no cost) of their main site and contacted customer services via that. I think I messaged them last Friday. Not the fastest response but at least I got an answer!
  19. RCF replied to an email I sent them this morning. Quite an interesting read really. According to them we are all mis-informed about the 754 model numbers! There were no MK2 or Mk3's. Straight from the original to MK4! Confusing stuff... Dear Duncan, the speaker QBQP02188 has been manufactured in February 2016; it is the ART ART745-A 230V (the generation before MK4, thre were no MK2 or MK3 of the ART 745-A) Hope it helps thanks and regards Customer Service RCF S.p.A. 20. Thanks but a bit too far away for me.
  21. Collect from where? Sorry but I can't see a location. 😀
  22. The advantage of FRFR for me is the fact that the effects I use sound far better. I had gone back to using two bass rigs. One for straight bass and one for effects only. I use a delay that needs a lot of top end, which sounds muddy and gets lost with only one bass rig. I can get what I want with 2 rigs but it's a pain in the arsenal lugging all the gear around. A BF FR800 or an RCF 745 can do the job on its own and the sound is excellent. Also, we can use the FRFR cabs as a PA and I can use in ears or run the FRFR from an aux on the desk and use it as a monitor with everything coming through it. i suppose it's how you want to use the tools you have got.
  23. Thanks for that. I was hoping you would be along to identify them! 😀 Cheers Dunc
