Vinyliser
Hi, This is an effects question - although not a hardware one. Does anyone out there hapen to know where I could get a VST Vinyliser from? If it's free, so much the better! Cheers in advance, BM.
If you can download a demo of ableton live there is an effect on there that creates vinyl static/lo fi noise its very good.
  2. Make sure you get the ooohhh ooooohhh wooo woos right on this,im really feeling this song at the moment.
  3. Gordon smith guitars are lovely and they were very cheap considering hand made.

  5.
Guys.... In 1986 I walked into a ropey little music shop in SUnderland called "Symphony Sound and Lighting" looking for my first Bass with my dad. In there was a (badly) beat up sunburst Fender Jazz. I tried it out because it was the cheapest in the shop and my dad only had a hundred quid to spend !! We haggleg with the guy in the shop and got it to a hundred quid. We but pushed a little harder to get a set of strings thrown in. The guy took a phone call about a pa hire..... lost interest in selling the bass and we left bemoning the poor customer service we'd experienced ! Later that day we took a train ride to Newcastle where we visited "Grott Guitars" and I became the proud owner of a Jedson Fretless, my first Bass guitar !!! Only later did I realise that we'd turned down an early 60's (most likely pre CBS Jazz) for a hundred Quid !!
Grott guitar was mental im sure half the stuff was nicked, you could get bargains galore i remember a gibson flying V for 250 quid and a fender coranado for 200,i dont think vintage interest really went mad till the late 90s. The blokes in there were the funniest thet used to buy beers in the morning so if you went in the afternoon and they were mullered it was brilliant price wise. I suppose it probably flats or a coffee shop by now.
  6. Is that the run like an animal one,i like phish but i always think the grateful dead were the originals.

I'm a huge Mark King fan, I've met him, I have 2 children to him and he hasn't paid me a penny since 1995, the bastard.
I cant believe he got you as well, running in the family indeed.

I like the break on i want eyes,in the pursuit of accidents is a good album, people slate them and say its not funky i dont think this is true as i could say this about other funk bands.I like funkadelic but not much of there stuff, really gets me going. My birthday

    Happy birthday!
  21. Its a real shame there is not more information about James jamerson he was a pinnacle of musical evolution,i always get the impression that there was no god given talent though, just an extremely expressive, sensitive, individual and artist. I like him and other players like him because i think you could have given the man any bass or guitar and it would still deliver. He just had a fantastic connection with music. If i could have someone at a table he would be there. Its the same with Bernard edwards there is not really that much information on the guy considering the impact he must of had on peoples in the 70s/80s who were not even aware that this man created the soundtrack to there lives. My reply is completly off the point though sorry.I would be happy just to write good funky tunes that sell and to be honest like him or not JK is the only guy in the charts who seems to be doing this.(Im babbling)
  22.
I love Mr. Jenkinsons' production wizardry but as a purely solo performer? I still need to be convinced as to his song writing capabilities.
Hmm yes,i dont know why he doesnt just use a nylon strung classical guitar for this one,i still love some of his stuff though.
  23. Just pretend you are doing a drum solo on the strings.
  24. Dream on dreamer and sex machine always get me yet they should be simple.
