Ive just found a guitar pro file for it im going to see if its any good.

Does anybody else think the bass playing on this track is very good? i dont think its a synth. Does anyone have a decent transcription or tab? Cheers.
-
This is a really hard track to nail at full tilt,i find if i use use the very tips of my fingers its easier, the finger strength of norman watt roy must be well strong. Again well done zoe i have quite small hands(spindly like e.t.) for a bloke so i can imagine for a female to play it,it must be double tough.
-
I wish i could get hold of some of the transcriptions in those mags, some of them were well good.

I know ingrid pastorius didnt like it,i didnt find anything shocking about it,but maybe it did dwell on his bi polar phase a lot.Interesting though.
I think the backing on that album was done by the Wally Stott orchestra. so it will probably remain a mystery. Wally Stott had a sex change and became Angela Morley and lives in the States. and now, back to our main programme! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0V_LFf63M8
He did the hancocks half hour theme music as well, how cool is that. -
Im into the playing by the guy out of 70s funk band Banda black rio hes awesome, there is not a lot of info on the band though.
-
At that time i would want to at least be signed to warner brothers.

Download asio4all,these drivers are brilliant and free, even if your soundcard is basic you can get near 0 latency.
I really cant see this..there are bassist's in the world who are not known, that could wipe the floor with Flea.. Hes only famous because of RHCP...IMHO Meshel Ndegeocello does this better...Way better Not to say i dont like his playing..
I think meshels awesome but i would rather have fleas bank balance.
Sure I realise that but this is a fickle kid's current interest. We'll see how it goes once he's stuck with it for longer than 5 minutes There's every chance he's just saying he's interested in it to shut me up with my never ending intollerable "play an instrument, make some music" nagging
I would deffo go and get a copy of computer music magazine then, its worth it just for the free software they were giving a copy of a sampler/drum machine/synth along with the free samples and demos on the cover dvd. There used to be a rating for different VSTs in the back of the magazine as well. future musics a good mag as well.
-
I would just buy ableton live its miles ahead of reason, much more flexable and can actually be used as a live instrument and you get a synth and drum machine plus effects with it. If you are serious about using DAWs i would fork out you tend to get what you pay for sound quality wise.

Modern bands with interesting bass guitar?
YouMa replied to thisnameistaken's topic in General Discussion
Im not being negative but most new bands dont seem to be very good bass wise, kids (cousins) who play are all listening to the red hot chilli peppers and janes addiction, the same stuff i was listening to when i was 16,im the same age as you thenameistaken. -
I use a lot of vsts, and i have always gone with outboard stuff, its just more versatile really,if you are thinking about buying a soundcard get a copy of computer music magazine they have a list in the back usually with ratings of different bits of gear. You could also email them they are usually very helpful, you could also try future music magazine, they are also very good.

I know its a massive long shot but does anyone have either the bass sheet or the tab for Jacos playing on this, its one of the funkiest tunes i have heard him do,and i am having trouble nailing it.I can dig it baby is one of the early sessions he did,its on the portrait of jaco album.Cheers.

Good evening everybody i have a set of professional indian tabla drums up for trade,i have hardly touched them they are 2 years old without a mark of wear on them, they come with there own soft case, and are fully tunable. Im looking to trade for either a decent set of jazz pickups/pre amp or effects. Im moving back up to newcastle on monday so thats where they will be sent from.I will post some pictures this week.Cheers mark.
