Not really. 30W in, 200W out. Huh?

Ladies and gentlemen, please observe the rear panel of the Trace Elliot elf, specced on their website as '200W continuous into 4ohms'. So how can it put out 200W when it only consumes 30W? They're all at it... And yes I know that's the 120V version, but you still can't magic an extra 170W from nowhere!

I am on my second Mustang bass. The first (MIM Pawn Shop) came with the fitted Urban gig bag, which gave only slightly more protection than an Ikea shopping bag. I gave up long ago on finding a decent fitted bag for my current Mustang, so it now travels in a regular full-size gig bag. Guitar gig bags are too short. I expect a gig bag made for a 12-string solid-body guitar would fit because of the extra headstock length, but then they're not going to be that common either!

Does this cable have some kind of suppressor fitted? Maybe that is filtering out mains-borne noise.

I've just read this thread and had my PF-50T GAS re-awakened, until I came across the hum thing. From reading this link posted by @afterimage, it seems they sent a lot of units out with a noisy grid bias circuit. I am happy modding stuff, but not if I've bought it brand new. This demonstrates the difference it made:

GAS made me go back to the Handbox website to check how much a WB100 is. According to this page, 0 zloty, so just the delivery charges then. Or am I missing something...

Just realised I haven't updated this thread in 8 months! With a 3-pice pub covers band : The extra bass delivered by this cab adds some 'heft' I didn't realise I was missing! With a 4-piece country band: Bass at 12 o'clock on the Demeter was perfect for my old Compact, but too overbearing with this cab in a C&W context. I dialled the bass back to about 10.30, and found the lovely round low-mids that I so liked about the Compact. It's sorted, and it's staying. Now wondering what it would be like with with a Handbox valve head...

There are still people labouring under the misapprehension that unless you run a 4x10 on top of a 1x15, you won't cover the whole frequency spectrum. It's really not necessary, but it does result in lots of cab sales!
