feedback for etienne

I just bought a proper man's bass cab from Etienne and it's fabulous. Etienne's a Great bloke - he's already got top feedback, you don't need to take it from me alone ;-) This cab is gonna be married to my ex-Beedster 400+ And will be aired at rehearsal on Sunday. Another proper Basschatter and another great deal. eBay-type feedback: five stars, great seller, would recommend. Traffic was a nightmare going home but the creamy sounds made it all worth while. Have a great NYE gig ;-)
2. Hi Could you post the HxWxD dimensions and give an idea of the weight, please? :-) Thanks Sean
3. The bodies have a different contour and a different paint job and also the wood isn't as two or three piece. The pickup and preamp can be transplanted and sorted but there are differences. I bet there are loads of Subs that are better than Stingrays and vice versa. For me, it was the Sterling that made most sense. Then I ditched it and made a Yamaha BB into a ceramic MM monster with an East pre-amp. Whatever, subs are great value and easily modified.
4.
I voted for not giving a monkeys if people want to buy a Barefaced or whatever it may be it is there choice so it has nothing to do with anyone else anyway
Vote? What vote? What are you on about?
5. I reckon a couple of those Big Twins with the tweeter and mid-driver would go down a treat for me. Might have to get another 400+ to go with 'em. Seriously.
6.
The more I think about this....... Cockups and equipment failure, fair enough. Lying to a customer about what they were doing with his legal property, property that he had every right to expect was being legitimately repaired under warranty but which was in fact being repaired by someone who may not only invalidate that warranty but - if the fret story is anything to go by - could leave an unsafe piece of electrical equipment....... It's a job for Luca if you ask me. Again, name and shame
Beedster, Luca Brazzi and retribution. Threads don't get much better :-)
7. I'm glad it's sorted. I had an SR five string top ender about 7 years ago that had issues (can't remember what exactly) and that was refunded and collected by the retailer with no hassle.
8.
Looking for 4 ohms. Thanks anyway
They are 4 ohms when run together as a pair.
9. Chris! Is this 69er a vampire? Not even Alex has a photo of it! You know I'm smitten... Show me... Show me... Hope you and the family are tickety boo :-)
10. Can't believe these are still here. They're 18kg! That's featherweight for a 2x10.
11. Totally unacceptable even for a budget instrument.

Comes with mains lead. No manual or box. Very good condition. £8 posted mainland UK.
15. It's unused and had has 19mm spacing and retrofits in standard Yamaha or Fender screw holes. High mass and very good quality, other than having no logo, I can't tell the difference between this one and my Gotoh on my Stoker P/MM. 16. Thanks, Martin. You're better than Match dot com!
17. These wireless systems are fantastic. I've used this kind for a few years and they are super robust, easy to use and work beautifully. It's a good saving over a new one too. Good luck with the sale.
18. I'm about to start gigging regularly with my Mesa Boogie 400+ and I was wondering what spares should I carry? I'd be interested to hear from any users of big valve amps what they carry as spares. I already carry a good DI but should I carry an array of valves too?
19. I'm selling my EBS Multi-Comp. It's a fabulous compressor that I just don't use much so here it is. Massive saving of £50 over a new one. Does not come with original box or manual although it is in excellent condition. Price includes shipping to Mainland UK. 20. Carol Kaye always encouraged students to stay away from learning scales by rote and instead heavily encouraged (is she dead? I'm referring to her in the past tense and sounds natural) learning arpeggios. She also discouraged using major thirds and claimed to have played all the major Motown bass lines so you have to be careful with anything she says. Very generous with her time though. I learned scales on guitar. I learned arpeggios on bass and find them to be infinitely useful. I'm off now - I'm just not into posting on Basschat like I used to be.
21. Like a lot folk that have already posted, a BB2024x and a probably a BB2025x. Unbeatable instruments to my taste. I'd also like a Skuker lightweight JJB signature.
22. Another easy deal with Simon. Many thanks for a great swap!
23. I've got 3 new sets of Status double ball end, roundwound strings 40-100. £30 posted in the UK for all three
24. Boxed as new BT1. I don't think I've ever installed it. Just found it in a cupboard while having a clearout. Add £5 for UK postage. Add fee if paying Paypal. Bank Transfer preferred. Check out my feedback. If anyone wants a straight trade for a BT2 then I'm up for it. Many thanks Sean
