They are fab. I ordered strings and they sent me strings. I was overwhelmed and have left a small token to them in my last will and testament. I have also nominated Adam for a minor gong from the Queen in the new year honours list; his services to music need recognising formally.

You could get a British luthier to build you one to your spec and it would be a million times better than anything Fender vod ever produce.

If you are using a Thunder as a back up for a P when gigging then beware how they hang on the body. If your P dies and you need to grab a backup, the Thunders hang about two frets forward of where the P hangs. This will inevitably lead to you playing in the wrong key at a moment when you are already stressed because your P has failed. Thunders are great by their geometry is VERY different and could lead to issues.

Sold a Yamaha BB to Rob. Great buyer, good communications and let me know as soon as the bass arrived. He was patient about delivery as I was away working and then we had the double bank holiday weekend to contend with so thanks, Rob for your patience. Enjoy the bass, play something funky!

This bass is so much more than a £200 bass. It was bought by me new, has been modified to make it even better than it was originally, it's been set up to play beautifully and a generally excellent bass guitar. I'll selling to make space as I have a new instrument incoming and I need to make room. Modifications are: Hipshot string retainers fitted Gotoh-alike bridge fitted There are some screw holes in the headstock where the string retainer fitting went a bit wonky originally and theres a small ding below the J pickup. These pickups are really hot and well balanced. The B string is superb with the new bridge fitted and string retainers in place. I've gigged this bass quite a lot since I've had it and it's one of those instruments that is no fuss, easy to get a good sound, no worries about damaging it because it's expensive, the orange metallic is always a talking point. It's strung with a set of Ernie Ball Coated regular Slinky 45-130 and they really haven't seen much use - these are not the strings pictured. I'll miss it but it has to go. Shipping will be around £20 UK mainland. It's £23 UPS to NI. I still have the original box and all the inserts so it will be well packaged. No trades.

£20 is less than the charges of one £200 instrument on eBay. For me the £20 works out about £2 a sale over a year and it all goes toward keeping this facility available.

Those live versions of Suspicious Minds that are albums and YouTube are absolutely fabulous. The energy coming off the Elvis band is just astonishing and Jerry Scheff's lines are glorious. If you're ever in need of cheering up I'd suggest a listen. I'm off to buy a copy of his book; it seems like exactly the sort of book Id like :-)

It's on! I'm going whatever. Let's hope Chickenfoot do their thing for the third time and that their tours overlap. Based on all my Chickenfoot, DLR and VH shows, Chickenfoot are the best band, VH have the best songs and Dave VH have the best songs and most goosebumpy guitarist. Let's hope Ed's up to muster
