  1. Have seen a few Fretless maple neckers of these but not without the Pickguard and never in that condition. Still, for me, and this is just my guess, I wouldn't pay more than 375 but I am a Yorkshireman so draw your own conclusions!
  2. It's in great condition but I think he's pricing it nearer an Ibanez musician than a Roadster. I can't pay 750 for it as much as I'd love to have a go on it.
  3. This is gorgeous: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F293429139087
  4. I wonder how close the current Bass Centre own brand could get with a bit of tweaking...
  5. I've got a KiOgon series/ parallel switch in my bass. It's basically a turbo charger!! Very pleased with the end result.
  6. I found an Irish dealer listed in their website... They don't have any stock but this could be the Brexit windfall we've all been told about!
  7. A mate of mine had a producer to make a single for his original band and it really took it a full step upwards from the version of the same song he had recorded with a music student using proper kit. They found the process valuable and the producer offered their singer more opportunities elsewhere. However, they send the professionally produced single round to radio stations and originals festivals, etc. If your guys can't even share it on Facebook then I don't think spending any actual money at all is worth doing.
  8. That's still pretty special though!! https://www.tuneguitars.com/wb5-fm-left-spec
  9. Weird, I know very little on the subject but the far East producers seemed to look after us lefties a bit better than the Yanks do. Saved me a few hrs trawling the Internet to see what they sell for though, thank you!
  10. When I bought my first property the mortgage company went through my bank account in forensic detail and I got questioned about £14 per month DFS sofa payment and a £7 a month fee to be a member of a professional body. They never asked why my Vodafone bill was well over £150 in one month though... Nothing dodgy. I was on hols in the US while my girlfriend, now wife, was visiting family in Australia. Expensive phone calls and messages!
  11. Everything my band plays goes D C G so I'm OK breaking three strings.
  12. @kodiakblair that Fretless is perfection! Tell me they're the only Japanese builder that didn't do lefties?! Lie to me if you have to. I've got kids to feed.
  13. Decent honest Yorkshire / Humberside folk!
  14. That's how I do my entire set. Can't stand listening to the originals after playing them so many times for almost four years!!
  15. That's odd. The tab seems to be a half step higher than the sheet music if you go purely off the chord notes... Eg sheet music says Ebm9 tab says Em9. Either way, learn the pattern and shift up or down a fret for the band is what I'll have to do anyhow. Thanks for this.
  16. I get what you mean. Sometimes the res a missing ingredient and it's hard to know what it is... We tried "crazy" by gnarls barkley and there was always something we couldn't pinpoint missing. What chord progression were you playing for Moloko?
  17. Does anyone play this? Gorgeous melodic bass line but I'm struggling to get playing it... In all fairness I've made hardly any effort. I started off with a bad Internet tab and haven't yet checked any other sources but if anyone plays it and has some easy to follow tips (like it's a C, G, F chord progression just play minor fills under that... That kind of easy tip!) I'd be incredibly grateful. I kinda should have learned it a few months ago and haven't got round to it! Thank you
  18. FACK OFF AND PUT THE FOOTY ON! Gets requested a lot...
  19. LOVE IT!!!
  20. I know you get P's housed in a soapbar but if its double P it has to have the Derek Smalls "proper" double P vibe. Off to get a quote for doing thus to my Fender..
  21. Lovely bass, very tastefully done. I do like the PP concept like the 80s Fenders, can't remember the model name, and have often toyed with doing that to my MIJ P.
  22. I hope they do well but I was expecting them to be in the 250-350 price range, a good value and good quality MIM competitor was what I had thought they would do when I saw the first pics. At almost a grand I just don't see it working but hope I am wrong, Ashdown are a good bunch and I want them to do well. Didn't see a lefty there though A lefty Telebass would be very welcome if just anyone will make it... Or do I have to ask Limelight?!
  23. There are some ridiculous bargains on there if you look. There's also some second hand tat priced more than it would have cost new... So its a bit of a jumble sale search but can be worth it. Bought a Fender amp from them for a steal a few years back.
  24. Looks like a steal! Gorgeous pair of basses and not a lot of money layed out, well done!
  25. I've bought two new basses recently. A Sire arrived from Thomann with the most perfect setup, no complaints at all, ready to play out of the box. I bought my MM Stingray in Wunjo's, it was nicely set up in the shop, so no complaints. They did me a full set up for free and I get that for life from them if I can haul my bass back and forth to London! However if the action was ridiculous or intonation off I wouldn't gave hesitated to ask them have a look because it was a serious investment and I want to properly test drive it. If I were just tinkering with no intent to buy I wouldn't bother but if you're serious about buying an instrument I expect the shop to help and the customer to be able to wait a short while.
