I'll play the wrong part again later in the song so it doesn't seem overtly obvious I've cocked up.
Ah, the old "jazz" trick - make sure you stare angrily at someone else in the band, ideally the guitarist or keys person & then shake your head in dismay as he's obviously played the 'wrong' note again. . .
 2.
Funnily enough I write the first note next to each song. It's titles that I forget so I live in dread of starting the wrong song. I figure that if I'm at least on the right note I'll recognise the song once it gets going!
That's exactly what I do as well - my set list has a simple reminder of the first note in the exact position I play it. It's a bit muppet-like but I literally have stuff like E5 to signify that the song starts on the 5th fret E string so I can use this as an 'anchor' from which to remember my patterns. I play entirely by memory other than that, have never got on with chord charts etc. All I do is play them over & over, if I'm really struggling I try to play the bass part for the entire song without any backing whilst 'listening' to the song in my head. Only problem with this tactic is that stuff gets so ingrained that i wake up in the middle of the night with whatever my latest song is stuck going round & round and can't get rid of it!
 3. Must be worth more than £900 surely?
 4.
PM'd.
Nice Speedway avatar by the way, is that a Belle Vue team logo? Reading Racers was my team back in the late 70's when we had Anders Michanek
 5.
Molan, the Wilton Felder album was Inherit the Wind..
I checked and the CD I have is Forever Always - which also has Bobby Womack on the title song. If you want the track Inherit the Wind as opposed to the whole album it's easy to find on download
 6. Wow, only just spotted this, I tend to bypass 6 stringers up for sale as I can barely master 4 but I love the look of this baby
 7. I also went through the old & rather ell played early 70\'s P bass that I flogged for £200 thing - Pots were a bit scratchy & I couldn\'t be bothered to get them replaced. What\'s even worse is that I bought a Sequential circuits synth instead! Main regret really though is the Sei 5 string I had. I was never much of a 5 string man but it was a lovely bass. I sold it in order to put a down payment on a Harley I fancied at the time. The fretted one of the twins was mine
 8.
BLIMEY ! very very good price! awesome combos, i recently sold one and it,s in the list of things i regret selling . Yup worth it for the head alone, don't let the 10" speaker fool you either, the transmission line cab is capable of deep lows. Excellent combo for upright, quick someone buy before i get into serious trouble!
Yep, easily worth a good £100 more than the asking price, but my storage space is running out and the 'ever sufferin' is giving me a hard time

 10. I'm liking that scratchplate on the DJ very much. I would never have thought of putting a tort guard on the LP blue but it looks really cool
 11. Still here?
 12. This combo is a 350w 1x10 with a positively huge sound for its diminutive size. Will handle small/medium sized gigs on its own and works brilliantly as a stage monitor if you're going through the PA because it has such a clean 'pure' sound. This really is top quality equipment and the sound is amazing given the physical cab size. Loads of flexibility from the EQ and fixed pre-sets, easy to match to just about any bass to let the real sound of your bass shine through. I've turned up at gigs with one of these and afterwards had drummers & other band members ask where I'd hidden the extra cabs and/or how much bass was being fed into their monitors because they could hear it so clearly laugh.gif The head is easily removable for studio use or to power a larger cab(s) must be worth the price for the head alone! It's in good condition having spent most of its life in a studio or being used for home practice use. All pots seem to be working fine and no nasty scratching. I did have this up for sale at £400 a while ago & it nearly sold then but thought I'd give fellow BC people an option at 'bargain' price of £350 (that's only £1 per W!) before I stick it up on general sale. There's a review of one of these here with full specs: http://onstagemag.com/ar/performance_eupho..._iamp/index.htm Pics are library shots but I can try to get some better ones if required. I think postage would be in the £30 region if anyone wants to have it shipped. I'd be able to deliver within a reasonable radius of home if someone wanted to pay for petrol costs
 13.
I want my SVT II, non PRO, back. Does anyone have one for sale?
I love mine but it's a bit of a luxury to have sitting around and not being used very much. Going in for a full valve service tomorrow and may well be up for grabs when it comes home
 14. Plays keys too: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=irML2uI0mkk&...feature=related
 15.
But on the plus side, it'll tend to keep the price lower. Andy
How much ought it to be worth, only sitting at £122 at the moment which is obviously very low!
 16.
Into The Mystic - Van Morrison. Chosen by bride and groom as first dance at wedding last Saturday. Simple to learn but just so gorgeous. Who played it BTW? Anyone know?
Album credit says John Klingberg - I don't anything about him though.
 17. USA standards of any sort of recent vintage always seem to sit from £400 up on EBay. Some fetch over £500 depending on colour, case, pickup upgrades etc.. Personally I'm a big fan of LP blue but a lot of people go for the more traditional/common colours like sunburst/black/natural wood etc. Matching headstock can certainly add a bit to the value & desirability but I don't think a Standard would have this?
 18. The Steely Dan 4CD box set is well worth the money, look out for it on EBay, it comes up for sale now & then. Cost me about £20 I think. Watch out for Nearly Dan, great covers band with some really good musicianship http://www.nearlydan.co.uk/gigs.htm What was the Wilton Felder album you were after? Was it Inherit the Wind? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b_BTq8e6M-k I'm sure I've got it kicking around somewhere - I'm a complete Bobby Womack nut so bought it purely for the fact the sang on it
 19. That is a nice piece of kit, I have a real soft spot for blueburst finish basses & the cream binding looks nice too
 20.
as of the last 3 or more months I've been constantly happy with everything in regards to bass. almost every day now and has been for the last 2 months specifically.
Yeah, but that's only because you've bought a new 6 String & a swapped a cab in that time - give another 3 months & then tell us how you're getting on
 21.
Man, that bass is ug-leeee!
Oi - I've got one of these and it's a very nice little thing indeed -
 22. Chris who
 23. Have you compared the AE with the HT at all? I haven't heard them back to back but seem to remember the HT was more of a smoother all round sound to the AE?
 24.
mine is 42"-54" long too sorry, couldn't resist
Sure you're not missing a decimal point somewhere?
