^erm... It is trans purple is it not??? Sorry about that... Good luck with the Gas! Lovely bass OP BTW. I keep looking at it longingly myself..
I meant if it was this colour with white pickups and the neck humbucker, I'd have to sell one of the kids!! -

The photos don't really do it justice. It's unlike any other exotic top I've seen... It looks like it's water damaged and had years worth of cigs put out on it, but it's just the natural grain!!!! It was a tough choice to let it go, I just love that finish!! Again, couple that with the playability of a Spector and that classic NS body shape, how can you say no??? If anyone is concerned with them being overly growly, when I bought it, it had an EMG preamp, and I found it quite tame but very versatile. I imagine the Bart to be similar in this regard. Having said that I didn't find the trim pot tone pump overly aggressive with the trim pot dialled back a bit. Either way it's a cracker!!! Starting to have remorse now!!!

Hey, my old bass!! This is a belting example, I love the spalted maple top on this one, looks like it been burned with cigarettes :-) Sounds and plays really nicely- was my go to bass until My band circumstances changed, and miss it often. It had a trim pot tone pump when I had it, but I'm sure the Bart does it justice!! Dave is a top bloke to deal with too. I actually bought it from him to start and then sold it back to him!! Good luck Dave!

This breaks my heart Karl... I was hoping you would hang on to this long enough to to shift my bass and get some pennies together. After reading some of the horror stories on these basses, I instantly loved this one when I played it. The pickups are very full, and the neck pickup could almost pass for a p. Neck is very comfy and I have tiny hands, so don't stress about the slightly deeper neck profile. It is reliced quite heavily as you would expect, but it is very light, noticeable after playing his old Adam Clayton. Someone is getting a steal!!!!

You could see if you could custom order a Spector euro with a MM. They do a bolt on 35" rebop with a MM
I have a regular Legend Classic 5, and the pups have SSD on them rather than EMG HZ.
This is more of an era issue, than specific to Rex or legend. The earlier legends all had HZ's, the later had SSD's.

Sold. Spector REX apparently, Holoflash, neck through, EMG's.
Cheers Martyn, that's 4 telling me it's a £900 + new REX. The [s]song[/s] price remains the same
Yep, the usual price hemorrage on Spector and the unusual shape, I'd say this is priced about right, but a bargain for someone looking for one!! -

Sorry Karl, I didn't even realise you hadn't put Rex in the title, I just saw it "elsewhere" and ran like a moth to a flame. That holoflash is so cool!!! The waters are a little murky with these, I'm not so sure it's a Rex signature... I think they were made for a short time in the Czech Republic. The "Rex" part simply refers to the thunder bird style body shape, hence "Spector legend Rex holoflash" should be the correct title. The Rex signature came in holoflash, but also a dark greyish brown colour, and had DC's and a tone pump AFAIK. I am happy to be corrected, but I'm sure cetera will be along to sort us all out 😂 And don't tempt me Karl!! -

For those who don't know, I LOVE. Spector basses and can't rave about them enough. Even the Korean stuff has amazing build quality, and have considered getting a Rex before now. If you were to swap out that pre for a tone pump and put some EMG DC's in there (easily picked up for under £100 in the used gear section), I doubt you could get better bass for the money (especially if you are a rock/hard rock/metal kind of player). Even the standard pump Jr. And HZ's will have your typical active bass sound (a touch too bright for my taste, hence the above upgrade), but would make a great all rounder. That finish is KILLER!!!!!! GLWTS Karl! -
Train as you mean to play on game day. I do all my "practice" standing up, but will usually sit if I am trying to figure out new songs, this is just mostly so it's easier to skip through the song to repeat the sections in trying to learn. You need to get some match fitness into your legs and back mate, if you don't, you may find yourself concentrating on your aching legs/back instead of what you are playing!! A small tip, if like me, your practice space is banished to the garage, if you are on a hard floor, try putting a rug/off cut of carpet down, as stupid as it sounds, if you are spends no more than an hour shuffling about, it will make a difference!! Good luck!

There is a guy on one of the Facebook pages selling one!

Schecter are absolutely amazing basses for the money, I had one of the diamond p/j's (same as the one rob deleo plays), and I do regret selling it sometimes. Can't sing their praises enough, unless you are a gear snob (which I have been known to be on occasion) you will not be disappointed.
