1.
So, the Gibson ES-335 Bass then? http://www.thomann.d...335_bass_fc.htm
Yeah, but not for that price! To be honest, if I was going to buy a hollowbody I would get a Warwick Star bass. Got to keep up the fanboi-ness!
 2. I met Paul Turner and he was a really nice guy. We had a lengthy discussion about effects pedals, as he had his Jamiroquai board with him. Also, when Pendulum first appeared in the charts and Myspace was still relevant, I sent a message to Gareth, their bassist, to enquire about how much of the bass sound was played by him live, and how the sounds were achieved. He sent me a really quite lengthy reply explaining his setup and how it was all integrated with what the rest of the group was doing.
 3.
Ah you have solved my quest,I knew one must exist! Are there any more? I can only see that they must have picked up a lefty bass or guitar when starting.
Not exactly the same, but I know a right-handed drummer who plays a left handed kit.
 4. I agree that this new on is not the best looking 'Bird that Gibson have ever done. I don't understand why they don't do the chrome pickup covers any more, and why they don't offer a few more finishes. When discussion about Gibson basses comes up, someone always points out that their bass sales are a tiny percentage of their guitar sales, as if that excuses their poor offerings, but the way I look at it, maybe the poor offerings are the reason for the poor sales. Personally, I wouldn't own another T'Bird, as they just didn't sound right for me. I'm not a fan of the way that SG and LP basses look, so I wouldn't go for one of those either. I don't know what else they currently make but I think that in terms of what I have seen in the past, the only Gibson instrument I would be interested in would be an ES-type hollow instrument, similar to the Jack Cassidy, but I would really like more than one pickup. Think Guild Starfire sort of thing.
 5. Personally, I feel that if he has read the message you sent and not even bothered sending a reply then I would just leave it. If it was me I would be jumping all over you to get it back if that was what I wanted.

 7.
I've had a look inside, the problem is that the circuit board runs the entire length of the pedal. This thing really is built like a tank, the downside is that you'd need to be able to exert a fair amount of force to push the dent out from the inside and the circuit board gets in the way of that. I'd buy on the basis of the dent not being fixable, but someone with the right tools, patience and mechanical aptitude could probably fix.
Ah, so it would be a case of completely disassembling it so that you had the case on its own?
 8. Have you taken it apart at all? Does it look like the sort of thing that could be fixable if you hit it carefully with a hammer?
 9. These cabs are the best sounding cabs I've ever played through. I only wish I had the space/money/band to have this!
 10.
One of these. Simple, cheap, you can plug in an mp3... 11.
OK, here we go: Wheel of Fortune Fountain Wind of Change River The Preacher On The Way Home
I know that Ace of Bass did Wheel of Fortune. Not sure about the rest of them. Is it 'Now 27'?
 12. Wow. That is something special.
 13. I played a gig with D-L-B's band (Alpha Male Tea Party) but didn't realise that he was on BC until afterwards. Excellent band, excellent bassist. Nice outfit as well.

 15. While I completely agree with most of the stuff that has been said, and people watching gigs through their phone screen winds me up as much as the next Basschatter, I feel like Pete has handled this badly. While this couple were obviously being incredibly rude, I don't feel like criminal damage is really an appropriate response. Admittedly, I would have been tempted to do the same thing, but that doesn't make it right. He should just have had them removed by the security staff and avoided making himself look like a douche.
Surely it's a case of compulsory handing-in of phones at the door? A checkout system as with coats, and you get a ticket - pick it up as you leave.
The insurance costs would be astronomical when you consider the retail value of the average smartphone.
 16. Probably have more luck selling this in the 'EUB and double basses for sale' section of the forum. http://basschat.co.uk/forum/76-eub-and-double-basses-for-sale/
 17. You might need any effects. Why not wait and see what songs you are playing, and then listen to them and work out what you will need from there?
 18. By far my favourite MM colour combo. Yummy.
 19.
Certainly has a look of a Warwick Infinity:
The logo looks like an M. Maybe it's a Marwick?
 20.
Ha! I think the lighting wasn't too good when I took the original pictures but it is a fairly pale yellow. If you want to pm me with your email address I'll take some more pictures in the good daylight and send them to you if you want? Cheers Rowley
Don't trouble yourself. Unfortunately I can't afford to buy it, so unless you fancy a trade for a Warwick 5er it won't be coming in my direction. I was just curious about the colour because you don't see many yellow basses around.
