1.
Mike, is that streamer you sold on that you got from Mike Walsh at The Bass Merchant? If so, that's a beautiful bass, played it while i was there about a year ago.
It certainly was - I paid £1k for it, and sold it (due to Shuker arrival) about 8 months later taking a £200 hit. And even then people still didn't want to pay £800 which, for a Streamer Stg I V string w/ aeros & john east is a bargain !
2. Yeah, if it helps, I had a superb Warwick Streamer Stage I with Aero dual coil pickups and a john east preamp, and I could barely get £800 for it!
3. Holy crapbag! Amazing! Lush! 73 jazz = my favey.
4. Alternatively, check Bass Centre, Bass Cellar etc then divide by 2 (or more!) and there you have it! Welcome to BC!
5. I had an old defretted 70's jazz, which was quite heavily modded, and it used to be owned by the bassist from Steve Harley & the Cockney Rebel.

I think the red is the most striking colour for that P bass!
7. What a fab collection, one of the nicest I've seen. Top hole!
8. Yep, all the time.
9. ......But cheers for the contribution!
10. Stop flirting, you two!
11. Looks great! Did you have to replace the pickguard to get rid of the screwholes?
12. Magnificent collection!! Original 62? What pickups are on the Zoot? Aeros, Nordstrands?
13. Thanks dub_junkie, it's my number one. The switches are Active-Off-Passive, Coil tap, LEDs dim/LEDs bright. The knobs are Master Volume, Pickup blend, Bass, Mids, Treble.
14. Delight!
15. Very classy, great selection!
16. Nope, it's a standard passive USA Jazz.
17. Slightly revised, I wouldn't mind keeping the case, so I'm selling without for £370 or with for £395.
18. Thank you everyone who has contributed to this thread, it's been extremely interesting and helpful. I found there was more people against the 33" than I thought. However, after reading reviews of people with 33" 5's and 6's I think I'm going to go for it. Please keep the comments coming if you have any more!
19. Scottsdale, eh? Very nice! My wife is from Mesa, but now resides in the UK with me. Her aunt lives in Scottsdale, it seems very nice!
20. More of the Smith - it's been well used! And the Jazz, when it had a J-retro in it:
21. Thanks for all the positive comments. I'm extremely happy with "the herd". Sometimes I wonder why I keep the Ibby Musician, then I play it and remember what a stonking bass it is in it's own right. For a while it was my main gigging bass, then the 75 jazz was, and now it's the Shuker.
22. Hi all Needing to shift my Fives - incoming Shuker, dontcha know! This is a USA Fender Jazz 5. Black finish, white PG (but easily changeable, standard fit) with Rosewood board. It's a 1997 model. All sounds as it should, perfect jazz tone. Nice B string too. It's in really A1 condition - the only problem is a ding at the back which I've photographed. Looking for £370 picked up. This doesn't include a case. I can include a Fitted Fender hard case for £395. No issues with the bass apart from the ding and regular slight crazed buckle rash on the back - just need to move some to make way for the Jazz 5 Jon is making me. Pics: Now I want to get this shifted, but I don't want to ship, so it's collection only from Chelmsford, Essex - I'm very close to the A12, which is off the M25. Basically, priority to people who can come and pickup asap. I can't wait for 3 weeks until you get paid holding the bass unfortunately! Thanks all! Regards Mike Oh, and trades? Extremely unlikely, but it never hurts to ask I suppose! Really just after the £££.
