1. Bought a DBX 266XL compressor from James. Couldn't have been easier. Thanks again.
2. Not mine but here you go, good luck! Don't know why but you need to rename the file and use .pdf extension

4.
[Pedant mode ON] CITV = ITV (yuk) Zingzillas is on CBeebies. [Pedant mode OFF]
My bad, you are quite correct. I should know better. Good knowledge though sir.
5. My son watches CBeebies (Not CITV - Thanks WOT) 24/7 and usually I just tune out whilst doing other things, but my ears pricked up when I heard some cool bass playing. Check out Zender slapping like a goodun 3:10 and on a tune about a Banana! 18:20 http://www.bbc.co.uk...2_Banana_Blues/

7. Bought a Noiseless J bridge pickup from Derek. Arrived quick, came with everything (including screws) and was just as described. Easy purchase, wouldn't hesitate to deal with again. I now have a PJ bass without the inherent single coil hum, Hurrah!
8. Tried it with the above tips, and yes it tracks much better. Still not perfect, but better. Its ever so easy to get lots of double notes and octaves jumping about all over that place. Still, its reminded me how cool the Nanobass is, plenty of great synth sounds in there. Someone needs to buy this. Apologies for the slight hijack of the thread, but consider it several free bumps!
9.
On the bright side, there's a thread on talkbass where at least one guy talks about how to get better tracking out of it. AFAICR this involves feeding it the simplest signal possible, boost the bass, remove the treble, can't remember any more.
Found it: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f38/purchased-sonuus-b2m-bass-midi-interface-642609/ Might have another go with it later and see if the above tips help.
10. Perhaps with lots of tweaking the B2M may track better? In my experience, I found its latency a problem. The Nanobass is great for a bit keyboard bass though, someone must fancy a bit of that? Some of the sub bass patches are awesome!
11. I have one of these, it has some fantastic sounds in it. I also have a B2M, the combination of the two is not great as I find the tracking on the B2M very slow. This is however no fault of the Nanobass. Good luck with the sale
12. Well, thats a new one on me. Were these non export? Nice and unusual Fender bass, good luck with the sale.
13. Aaargggggghhhh, just bought one! Great litte unit though. Have a bump
14. Great, thanks for the advice. Ill have a look at those.
15. I have a P/J config bass with a SD Quater pounder in the P position. The stock single coil J pickup is very noisy and I'd like to replace it, perhaps with a dual coil J pickup. Can anyone with some knowledge recommend a suitable hum cancelling replacement that would play well with the QP?
16. Best for synth sounds has to be the Coloursound bass fuzz, otherwise the Woolly Mammoth.
17.
You need a big amp for a cab like that. DB750 / DB751 ;-0
+1 to this. The combination of the two will be truly epic! and your local chiropractor can pay off his mortgage too.
18.
Got an early 80s stingray for sale, I'm after about £1250 serial number B027126 which is from before the fire which destroyed all the paper records. One piece Birdseye maple neck/fretboard. Send me your email if you're interested and I'll send pics
Pics, Location etc
19.
If the B3's getting you close to the sound you want, have you considered running that into a power-amp and a decent cab?
Yep, think that might be my best bet. Certainly the cheapest as I have the ability to do this already.
Wouldnt even know how to do this ( l6T files )- I have a VT Bass though and the Basspod murders it in every way.
They are the files created when you save presets via Line 6 Edit software. Interested that you consider the POD as that much better, I shall commence further twiddling immediately.
20. Thanks for the info on Thiele Jazzneck, I have learnt a great deal from that. Geoff, the LB30 and Barefaced compact is more like I was thinking, but it seems the power stage valves are different from the B15. Would still like some similar options with valve amps and cabs like this to consider too. Ahpook, The Flipster looks cool, would be interested to hear one. Discreet and Chrismuzz, I have spent some hours with my B3 and am getting some fantastic results. I know the purists will be upset but it can sound great. 6V6, I would love to get a clone from Fliptops, but I expect it'd actually be cheaper to get an original B15N Thumperbob, I have also spent a good few hours on the Bass POD and X3 and can never get quite what I'm after. Have you any .l6t files you could send me of your efforts? Would be very interested to hear how you got on. I also fired up the V4B again today and it sounds great, but not like a B15. Has anyone got the Bass POD, Zoom B3 and a VT bass that could offer a comparison on their respective B15ishness?
21. Cheers people, many options to explore there. Exactly what I was after. I will do some reasearch and report back.
22. Cheers for the reply. The Linear Conchord and Thiele are brands I'd not come across. To answer your question the only B15N I've played through was mid sixties and stock as far as I know. It sounded amazing, thats what I'd like to try to get close to. I should add that I own a 70's V4B and from what I've read this has many similarities to the B15N. I may just need to pair that with a decent 15 cab to get what I'm after? Also, i should have said that it doesn't need to fit together like a B15N (i.e. flip top) happy to use separate head and cab. Your help as ever is greatly appreciated.
23. I'm interested in creating a fliptop on a budget. Should I go for a low wattage valve head and separate 15" cab or use amp modelling with a VT bass or similar? Key factor is to make is sound and perform as close to the original as possible without the price tag. Your thoughts and opinions please.
