    Revisiting playing with a pick on my P bass. Not called a Precision for nothing!  'The boys are back in town'. I'm using the really thick injection molded ones, 50p each from London Guitar Studio - but you can't slot them between the s'plate and body at the top which is where a pick belongs.

      Great stuff. I've started playing three songs in our set with a pick, really makes the bassline stand out on them. Good tip about where to store them, I usually forget where I've left mine!

    After more than 4 years of messing around and uncertainty - it's now definite that my job is going. I've got 18 months tops :(
    But at least I've got my bass playing to enjoy - thank heavens I took up the bass again. It's my therapy :)

    Why are so many bass cabs covered in that horrible felt material? Almost every cab for sale locally here is carpet-covered. You never see it on guitar cabs...

      Just play an open G at moderate volume through a Trace carpet cab in your cat's presence, and I guarantee they will never go near it again.

    Offer of 2 free Peavey cabs was not to be missed. Trouble was cabs weigh 156lbs each and I live on top floor 🙂 Problem now solved,one step at a time 👍
