1. I may be interested in this, any idea how much the postage would be? Also, how much does it weigh?
2. Is that price just for the tonecore modules or the pedal as well?
3. Got any actual pics / measurements? And your first post says it's 8 ohms, you might wanna correct that if it is indeed 4!
4. The Big Muff is dead - long live the Supercollider!
5. I reckon that extending handle would allow you to walk along dragging it behind standing up straight instead of hunching your back. Putting the wheels on the side would make your profile narrower as you move about making you less likely to bump into stuff too!
6. Is this one of his personal rigs, or one of his personnel's rigs?
7. Considered something like this? The Schroeder cabs offer a solution like this too, but this pic is from some cheap Chinese cab:
8. Setting the left knob low results in the freq dropping down really faster and lower after it's opened up. Increasing that raises the frequency it hovers around, making it sound less drastic, although you don't really want to go higher than 2 o'clock on that one. Then adjust the right hand knob for the desired sensitivity which will depend on the output of your bass and how bright/subby you want it to sound.
9. Are these pups passive? Got the model numbers and/or pics? Looking for a nice PJ set for my fretless!
10. Pedaltrain 2 with a soft case? Also, if you've never actually seen one, the Pedaltrain Jr is bigger than you might think it is from looking at pictures on the web - does me fine and holds my 8 pedals. Dangerboy squeezed 13 onto his, but he crazy.
11. Go for a Zoom B2.1u. It has loads of effects, and the amp models sound great - I used to use one as a backup for ampless gigs. It's a bit fiddly to tweak for live use, but at home it's ideal. It also acts as a USB recording interface and comes with Cubase recording software.
12. Me too. I previoiusly has an Ibanez LU-20 which is also excellent for half the price... but I sold it to get the Korg because it looks so darn schexxy!
13. How about this one mate: Gallien Krueger MB150S Is well over your £200 budget but you might find a second hand one cheap if you're lucky.
14. http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/equipment/ba...wistlegear.html http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6337418 That should get you off to a start. But it sounds like you want a nice low gain overdrive, for which I would recommend a DHA VT1, Barber LTD SR, or a Sansamp BDDI or VT Bass.
15. I would guess you just move the jumper, but if nobody comes back at you with a definitive answer, just phone GK, or you can PM Mr Gallien directly through talkbass! I've been looking a these amps myself - you gonna be using live on Wednesday?
16. It has two, 600 watt power sections. So you can run each "side" at 4 ohms. (quote from the Genz Benz dude at TB forums). The TBers were saying they wanted parametric mids and switchable tube/FET channels, it looks like they responded.
17. Is it a good idea to run these together through the same amp? Seems to me like the 1x15 would draw double the power of the 2x12 even though it can only take half the max power of the 2x12. Great price on great cabs though, but I just thought I'd throw that out there!
18. So do I but I like the idea of really cheap cabs at the moment and I know that 1153 is a good 'un that's really good bang for buck. Check out Alex's cabs at barefacedbass.com. You might be able to get away with replacing both of your cabs with a single 'Big One' (it's not that big).
19. I thought the 1153 was pretty lightweight for a 15 anyway - I was actually looking out for one to add a bit more bottom to my 10" iAmp 350 combo so let me know if you want to get rid of it!
20. EA will send you a free replacement strap by the way. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive though...
21. Can you show us what the frequency reposonse of the Big One is like compared to the Compact?
22. I made some clips of the VT2; the clips where just one tube is active will sound just like the VT1: VT2 Review EDIT: mp3space.com seems to have disappeared so my clips are no more!
23. Digitech can only output a blend of octave down plus your dry signal, while others can solo the octave down, which sounds awesome on the Boss OC-2. EHX Octave Multiplexer apparently sounds very similar to the Boss. The later Boss OC-3 doesn't get as good reviews by the way. The OC-2 sounds like a synth so is great for dance or drum'n'bass. The Micro POG though is more like a pitch shifted version of your bass, tracks better and also has an octave up feature.
24. I've seen plenty of bargains go untouched on here lately mate, it seems many people (myself included) just aren't spending much at the mo! For what it's worth, I saw one of those combos go for over £380 on eBay last week so you may get more joy there. Good luck with the sale, I have one and it's a great amp.
