1. Careful, if you lift the speaker too far off the ground, you'll decrease bass response. I'm not able to technically explain it (something to do with floor coupling), but expert cab designer Bill Fitzmaurice says so! Here's the Markbass stand I mentioned earlier.
2. Not interested in the duplex I'm afraid, but I'm selling an immaculate standard JDI for £100 posted if you have the readies...
3. Markbass make a tiltback stand too, so I'd advise checking that out!
4. Does the boost pedal count as an effect? Probably not - If a mod wants to move this to the 'other musically related items' forum then please go ahead!
5. Radial JDI The best passive DI box money can buy. Ultra pristine and low noise, this was bought new, taken to a few gigs for emergencies and used only once. I used it with a VT Bass pedal and got the best PA sound ever... but I'm no longer in a band so it's surplus to requirements. Not a scratch on it (the white speck in the photo is probably from the flash). Going rate for these seems to be £140 new, I will sell for £100 posted. .
6. They're on US eBay!!! Can't post a link cos Apple didn't bless the iPhone with a cut'n'paste feature!
7. +1 on the Digitech Bad Monkey, also look out for an old Boss Heavy Metal HM-2 or a Turbo RAT.
8. Try selling it on scarletmist.com or seatwave.com if you get no joy here matey.
9. Just under £500 on Thomann at the moment.
10. I may be interested in this, any idea how much the postage would be? Also, how much does it weigh?
11. Is that price just for the tonecore modules or the pedal as well?
12. Got any actual pics / measurements? And your first post says it's 8 ohms, you might wanna correct that if it is indeed 4!
13. The Big Muff is dead - long live the Supercollider!
14. I reckon that extending handle would allow you to walk along dragging it behind standing up straight instead of hunching your back. Putting the wheels on the side would make your profile narrower as you move about making you less likely to bump into stuff too!
15. Is this one of his personal rigs, or one of his personnel's rigs?
16. Considered something like this? The Schroeder cabs offer a solution like this too, but this pic is from some cheap Chinese cab:
17. Setting the left knob low results in the freq dropping down really faster and lower after it's opened up. Increasing that raises the frequency it hovers around, making it sound less drastic, although you don't really want to go higher than 2 o'clock on that one. Then adjust the right hand knob for the desired sensitivity which will depend on the output of your bass and how bright/subby you want it to sound.
18. Are these pups passive? Got the model numbers and/or pics? Looking for a nice PJ set for my fretless!
19. Pedaltrain 2 with a soft case? Also, if you've never actually seen one, the Pedaltrain Jr is bigger than you might think it is from looking at pictures on the web - does me fine and holds my 8 pedals. Dangerboy squeezed 13 onto his, but he crazy.
20. Go for a Zoom B2.1u. It has loads of effects, and the amp models sound great - I used to use one as a backup for ampless gigs. It's a bit fiddly to tweak for live use, but at home it's ideal. It also acts as a USB recording interface and comes with Cubase recording software.
21. Me too. I previoiusly has an Ibanez LU-20 which is also excellent for half the price... but I sold it to get the Korg because it looks so darn schexxy!
22. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
23. How about this one mate: Gallien Krueger MB150S Is well over your £200 budget but you might find a second hand one cheap if you're lucky.
