1. A Wooly Mammoth will get you a similar sound too.
2. The GK MB2-500 is even tinier and more toy like:

SOLD

And by all accounts this Wilson is a serious piece of kit and knocks seven shades out of the 105Q. If I had money to play with and spend on new toys I would jump on it... someone needs to snap this up before I crumble!
4. I would check out the Barefacedbass Vintage for a lightweight 2x15. But that's nearly all your clams gone right there...
5. Loads have popped up for sale on Talkbass recently, go there and keep em peeled.
6. He said he made it from scratch. Hammond make a similar one though if you were thinking of making one yourself.
7. If one of the amps has a tuner out, you could use that to link to the other amp. If the tuner output is buffered then even better.
8. Only thing with the Bad Monkey is that the amp output has a speaker sim on it that dulls your sound, even when the pedal is off.
9. Typical, I posted in the wanted forum, ended up buying a new one and then 2 come along at once!
10. You can also use a stereo chorus pedal set to a very slow subtle setting. This will thicken up your sound a bit as well as splitting your signal.
11. Nice job. I'm about to make a mini version with just one loop, and was wondering what kind of wire to use... yours doesn't look like the kind of wiring you see in effects pedals, more like household mains wiring!
12. You could probably whip out the driver and find out the exact model of the speaker and find the specs on the Eminence site.
13. Nah, they only do the flanged one and it's over £7! Cheers though.

16. Also, get a folding luggage cart, it'll make your life a lot easier!
17. I wouldn't bother with putting a DI across the speaker outputs unless you're trying to capture the sound of power tubes. As far as I know, the Walkabout has a solid state power section, so the post-EQ DI output should sound the same as if you'd hooked up a DI to the speaker outputs. Also, if you ever try doing that, make sure you have a cab in paralell with the DI to soak up the power, or will fry it.
18. I recommend the VT Bass pedal, sounds great through a PA. Or find a cheaper studio - which one are you using?
19. I'm sure you could re-work that and fit it all on a little better. I'm re-doing my Jr at the mo, it's a bit of an art form!
20. You still haven't told us where you are mate - update your profile and it'll be displayed under your avatar. 'Not near Stoke' is a good start though, as neither am I!
21. Cheers, that's the one. They're pretty cheap so I'll order a few as I'm bound to c0ck up the drilling part! In fact, RS do the 1590A for £4.19, I prefer the more rounded look to the Eddystone one on Maplin.
22. Does anyone know where I can get hold of some tiny enclosures such as those used by Catalinbread? I want to build a little bypass loop box out of one. These are the kind I'm talking about:
23. Either use shorter screws and flip the bottom plate over to save gunking up the bottom face, or make a spacer plate to replace the rubber feet. Someone over a Talkbass did this by making a wedge plate out of floppy disks, attaching Velcro to that and screwing it to the bottom of the wah.
24. Not really worth touching Thomann at the moment with the current Pound <-> Euro conversion rates!
