1.
The roadworn series are all Mexican made, but are significantly different to any standard Mexican models which is reflected in the price tag.
These are really great basses, they retail at over £1000 now and the necks feel amazing.
2. Would you be willing to pack if I arranged a courier?
3. This is a great read, I love the headstock on your other acoustic.
4. I was hooked from the start, but that bridge has made it really outstanding.
5. I'm not too keen on the the control cover, it looks a bit loose. Better than I could do, but I wouldn't want to buy something like that.
6. Bass compactors don't seem to be rated very highly, but I love mine, it works really well as an always on compressor, or as a slap boost/tone/compressor pedal. Great value for money, in my humble opinion.
7. Is it £60 including postage? If so I'll take it.
8. Still for sale?
9.
The neck on these, is for me the most comfortable one fender has ever produced.
The spacing is more like a Stingray than the usual Fender, I think it's about 17.5mm rather than the usual fender which I think is 19my. Really nice bass, can't believe it's going for that price.
10. I had one of these, with a lot of similar mods, they are great. The Roscoe Beck V pickups slide right in too if you want upgrade the pups. Can't go wrong with these.
11. Is this still available? I have a 72 Precision that I might be willing to trade/swap. Any pics of the Sterling?
12. How wide is the main pocket? Just wondering if it will fit my guitar stand?
13. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, my MM5 has two Nordstrand pickups it was originally a single pickup, and a John East Pre, it is a lot nicer (imo) than it was originally. I quite recently bought a TM5, and I love the bass, I really like the pickups, but the pre-amp isn't doing it for me, so I'm going for a John East, just deciding what will work best before buying one. I'd like the new Uni-pre, I just want to make sure it will physically fit, if not I'm sure a J-retro will do the job.
14. I'll take the envelope filter if it's still available.
15. I just picked bought this from KingPrawn last week, it's had 5 gigs so far, I'm totally smitten. 16. Sold through the site
17. I'm selling my Sadowsky DI box as I only have one passive bass left and it doesn't get much use. It's been around the block, so it has some marks, but it's working perfectly. It has velcro on the bottom at the moment, but I'm sure I can find feet for it. £100 posted in the UK. I will add some photos when I get home this evening. I would prefer the cash, but I'm always after decent effects. I'd really like an EBS MicroBass (with money your way) as I've started doing in ear gigs, and I'd like to keep the EBS sound. 18. Sold. Thanks for looking
19. I'm not looking for anything, so it's very unlikely but worth offering in case you have something I didn't know I needed. I'm really trying to get rid of basses, but could be convinced by an EBS Microbass, or effects, or possibly a cabinet.
20. Sold
21. Yes, not a problem. No extra cost.
22. Thanks for the comments, I think the pickups made a huge difference, I really like the tone of it. I've mostly played it with the middle pickup as a single coil and the bridge as a humbucker in series. Still very Jazz sounding just a bit meatier.
23. Great value bass, 3 band eq with an awesome slap tone. Think Stingray on a budget. It's string through, recently restrung with normal D'addario 45-130, so no worries about string length. Easily accessible truss rod adjuster, like a stingray. 3 coil pickup, though the centre is a dummy so you can have noiseless single coil tones. I have Schaller strap locks on it and it will come with the strap parts too, along with the original strap buttons/end-pins whatever they're called. It's pretty old and it's been gigged a lot, so it is far from immaculate, but it is a nice playing great sounding bass. Great cheap gigging bass, or backup.
24. I've just bought Sandberg TM5, so it's time to thin the herd a little. I'm selling my Fender made in China 5 string Jazz bass, these are not being made any more, but they were great basses. This one has Hipshot machine heads, Hipshot string retainers, a custom Tort scratch plate (by the Bass Doc), Fender Roscoe Beck pickups and a custom loom. It has two volume knobs, and a switch for each pickup giving series, parallel and single coil options. I didn't add a tone knob as I've always used it with a Sadowsky pre-amp/di box which I will add in for another £100. It comes with the original scratch plate and pickups.
25. Just bought a Sandberg TM5 from Sean, posted next day delivery, and the bass is amazing. Great guy to deal with.
