  4. I bought some strings of Malcolm. He's a top man, total hassle free transaction, with fast delivery. He's also turning me on to Limelight Precisions!!
  5. My 2p's worth. I own both a class A and D amp. In the studio I can tell no difference what so ever between them, however when playing live, I find the volume in both to be of equal measure, but to my ears the class D amp sounds like it is lacking in depth, whereas the class A seems to have that in bucketloads, which I can actually both feel and hear onstage through my cabinet. This is with both EQ settings in similar configuration. Not exactly an answer with any scientific based rationale I know, but that just my playing/gigging experience of these amps, and I'm sure I tell the difference in a blind test.
  6. I have just bought an amp of Glen, smooth transaction, no problems. Really pleased with the amp Glen, cheers!

  9. Our band had just finished the first set and went off stage at a function gig. The disco came on and I thought I'd have a quick check on my tuning before going off to the loo etc. Some 30+ year old woman came up to me and asked me if I could turn up as she couldn't hear me. Confused as we had a sound engineer, I said I'd feed this back to him. Thinking wowzer someone actually listens to me and I get to turn up, then the penny suddenly dropped.......she thought I was the DJ, (despite having my bass still strapped on!) ............punters, you gotta love 'em!
  10. I bought a tuner from Frank. He has great comms, and posted it off on the same day which can't be bad. All well wrapped and in good working order, so big recommendation!! Cheers Mate!
  11. I'm really sorry to read of your experience Karlfer and hope you manage to get reimbursed by PP, or from your credit card company. I really sympathise with you mate, that's a terrible thing to have had happen. So aside from a face to face cash transaction, which is not always possible given geographical locations, does anybody else have any suggestions for a safe and secure method of payment? PS Merry Christmas and an eventful 2015 to everyone on here, and thanks all for the support over the last year.
  12. Good idea Flyfisher I may try that, oh and course it'll be in black!
  13. Does anybody know where I can get a decent (pref rubber made) 4 gang 5 meter extension lead that's wide enough to take my Boss adapter transformers? Thanks!

  20. +1 for Tom Anfield, you won't be sorry, he really is the mutts!
  21. If like me you are informed that your neck on your bass is bent and its diagnosed as having a broken or worn truss rod, here's a little tip that my Luthier who looked at it shared with me. 'The nut fits on a left hand thread, and the entire rod is removable once the string nut is removed. To obtain the action required, all it needs is to be the right way way up, reinsert and tighten...voila!' I hope this tip saves many of you with old Warwicks any heartache and unnecessary expense!
