I have a Vintage V4 great bass, great bass fit and finish is great QC is good on these solid neck Wilkinson parts and secondhand can be had very cheap, also I had a revelation jazz bass for the money that thing sounded great and im no big fan of jazz basses,i think I had to mess with setup on the revelation but the vintage was perfect very low action an no buzz very good fret work.
  3. I use picks but normally use them the wrong way round on either of the top edges of the pick,i don't like the flex using them the right way around

  8. i had two E serial standard japanese p basses, both had the same neck plate, not sure for how many years they used that style of fender printed plate.
  9. i repair power tools for a living, warranty repairs for a power tool company with red tools an an american name.
  10. I had one of these as my first proper bass amp and I had the same thing happen to mine it started cutting out at a band practise, I never managed to get it fixed properly and sadly ditched it,was a great amp while it worked.
  11. I've got these two but never compared them I've barely used them as I use rehearsal room rig
  12. this looks interesting a tune bass missing tuss cover,I was tempted to buy it but something else has come up. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bass-guitar-used/193353235442
  13. yeah I would agree someone has reshaped the headstock, hence why it has no logo I suspect. The machineheads are correct and the body is right, value wise not sure.
  14. i have owned a couple of RD500 basses, which this one looks like, the better models have small switch also. there are differing models of the RD500 also mine had matching headstocks and seymour duncan/ibanez pickups which were really nice pickups, the model on here has just the ibanez branded pickups which arent rated as highly.
  15. I own a Lodestone very quirky but plays nicely and has EMG pickups and if I remember rightly a spector tone pump preamp, not sure if they were made in the same Czech factory as the spectors.
  16. It may be there is a screw in the side of the bridge which locks the saddles in place?
  17. me neither and somehow I have a jazz deluxe fretless.
  18. I don't think its made in the USA either.
  19. I have the limited edition shortscale, changed the neck pickup for an artec unit which is more like the original Gibson pickup, though when I gigged it I got feedback from the neck pickup changed it for the artec unit, then next rehearsal I still got feedback!
  20. its a lot of money for what it is,i just cant see how anyone would pay that i will stick to my Ibanez roadster RS900.
