  1. i have a squier silver series precision, very nice bass. I changed pickup on mine and i must say i really like it and cant see me selling it anytime. pricewise i paid £100 for mine a few years back ,i have seen them going for around £275-£350 whether they actually sell for that im not sure. i owned a JV and an eighties E serial fender japan P and to me the silver series are very alike as they would be made in the same factory.

  3. I had one years ago,was not a bad bass had that Gibson sound & quirkiness about it. I paid £200 for it back in the 90s
  4. I had one years ago,I think it was ply but it sounded quite nice.
  5. I was quite lucky £200 it needed a clean up and the pots cleaning. I remember seeing these in magazines over the years and have always wanted one, also on the advert for the one on the links above it say Dimarzio pickups, but from what I have read they are schaller pickups,I think mine has schaller JBX pickups. Sounds great though and has a lovely neck.
  6. I have a Rootmaster MAG220,sounds great but I'm not sure if it's loud enough to gig,as I haven't had a chance to try it at volume.
  7. I saw your one, same year as well! Good luck also, never know maybe someone needs a matching pair.
  8. I have an AH300SMX that I have owned from new I really need to get it fixed.

  13. Not sure about that one the V4 vintage white i have, was already set up really well no faults at all is a great bass. plus my v4 was made in Vietnam i think, i dont know where the pro shop are made but i would probably look elsewhere or just buy the basic model? as they are well setup and manufactured anyway my V4 has no neck pocket gaps everything fits perfect and it was setup with a lovely action put a lot of companies to shame.
  14. i have tried a few different bridges, my favourite was the fender vintage threaded saddle BBOT,but my fernandes the revival has a badass my latest bitsa has a fender Hi mass my squier silver series has a fender vintage bridge my old hondo professional has a vintage fender bridge these are all p basses and they all sound good to me . though i will say the fender hi mass for £30 is a nice bridge and im very happy with ,the bitsa which will be my gigging bass whenever gigging comes back around.
