1. Sold my DB750, and he was a pleasure to deal with as before - thanks Antony!
2. For sale/trade is my Lakland 55-64 Skyline 35" scale 5-string P-bass (formerly the Bob Glaub model). It's a Lakland Owners Group limited edition, one of only 30, it's about a year old, plays beautifully and sounds great, but I've decided I'm a jazz bass man at heart! I've only ever had it out on one gig, so it is literally as new. They call the finish 'Butterscotch', and it has a maple neck and black block markers. It came with the Nordstrand NP-5 pickup fitted by Lakland, and it sounds huge, with great clarity and detail - for a passive bass it also has a lot of output. Despite not being a US made model, the build quality and finish are excellent - I've owned USA Laklands in the past, and it makes me wonder if the fairly small differences between them and some of the Skylines really justifies charging 3 times the price. This one was assembled, checked and Plek'd in Chicago. At a shade over 9 lbs, it's light for a 5, and balances well. Sale price is £850 + shipping, and the only trades I'm really interested in are 35" 5-string twin pickup basses, preferably active (a Lakland DJ5 with a John East or an Audere preamp, perchance?). But wotcha got?? Dave Now SOLD, pending the usual....
3. Lovely. Brings back memories of King with their painted DM's and Cass Lewis of Skunk Anansie...
4. Great amp - got one myself. If I could make a suggestion, a couple of pics would go a long way towards getting a sale...
5.
Unbelievably it is bid up to £565 and still hours to go!
It went for £740... oh my good gawd Terence...

7. The more I read this listing, the better it gets... "It would be better if this guitar was collected in person but if its collected by courier ye can have the pleasure in arranging this yourself with the risk being yours..." I think we be dealin' with pirates here, Jim lad! Aaaarr! The whole description sounds a lot funnier if you read it in the style of Blackbeard... "PROFFESIONALLY SET-UP..." Is the seller referring to whoever is unfortunate enough to buy it?
8. Really? Well, there you go... that lady has taste!
9. Ouch. Very wrong. Wrong bridge, wrong pickup position, wrong controls, wrong neck plate, body's probably a faker too... maybe the neck might be original. Should I be a frothing pedant and message the seller?? I suspect he wouldn't give a stuff...
10.
I am lucky. I bought my sei 4th hand and it feels as if it was made for me.
Glad you're enjoying it, Michael!

14. Dear god, if I had that rig sitting in my house, I'd be having to have the windows refitted every 2 weeks. Lovely. Good luck with the sale!
15.
Heres some propaganda from the PJB site and some pics
Fantastic! Thank you for reminding us that manufacturers blurb IS all just sales speak. A lovely rig, though...
16.
Manufacturers really don't like to give the weight ... sigh. Did you ever buy those fishing scales? If so, g'wan - what does it clock in at? ps: I rather wish I'd bought your Wal.
Thanks for the tip - I did buy the scales! It weighs in at 9.5 lbs, about 4.25 kg in new money, I believe. I would have kept the Wal if I could have justified it it, but the big pile of cash came in handy too...
