1. I'm bringing a Yamaha MSG and a Burman combo...can't see what the issue will be Come along, hang out and have fun.
2.
Bass cab shoot out - I have a BF Super Compact and can bring the uber cheap and cheerful Ashdown RM110 too if required What' the aim of the shootout?
Lets add my cabs to the shoot out.
3. Anyone need a lift from SE London? I'll have some spare capacity.
4.
Gibson 335 or something similar - just so funky and sweet sounding. Would happily swap an MSG for one.
Meh, I've given in and commissioned a replica of Nile Rodgers' Hitmaker. Yammie MSG will be available to play at the SE Bassbash if anyone is interested...otherwise will be posted in the classifieds at the end of November.
5. I had two Loud 2x10 cabs, they're a bit legendary for the wrong reasons but great cabs all the same.
6. It's a little more than the BSR models, but these BT versions have a lot more growl in my experience.
7. Thank god for that.
8. Lovely! Think we'll put this on FB feed. Thanks for sharing!
9. The difference is remarkable. It's become a completely different amp! I'll probably bring it to the SE Bass Bash...
10. After being dissatified for a while with the gain on my Burman Pro501, I decided to replace the remainder of the chinese valves left in by the previous owner (from Lindisfarne) with Sovtek 12AX7 LPS valves. All I can say is that it transformed the amp overdrive from a cheesy sounding 70's fuzz box with a flabby bottom end from a Dave Stewart track to a nasty, raw sounding monster with a tight bottom end and loads of crunch. If you want to bump the gain up in your amp, I can't recommend the Sovtek LPS valves enough.
11. The words breaking down and Genz Benz rarely appear in a sentance together. My Shuttle 6.0's have been workhorses.
12. Nice job - congratulations!
13. Talk to Jon Shuker. He has maple in stock for necks that is as stiff as graphite and the dimensions can be whatever you want. He can skin the neck in graphite weave too if you want.
14. nice, too bad it has four strings!
15. I've played a few Foderas and a few WoodnTronics. The Foderas are definitely more consistent in their tone but W+T are pretty close when you get a bright sounding instrument.
16. It's like announcing Zoe Ball is going to be presenting Top Gear. Seriously, the removal of the upper cutaway adds nothing to the design. For a man who has so steadfastly remained true to his vision, this development is very inconsistent.
17. Noone's mentioned WoodnTronics yet.
18. Will probably be a Shuker workshop thing for the future. I have to get two other instruments finished, first!
19. Don't know if this track made it over to the UK but they were a one hit wonder in NZ. I liked them a lot...apart from the aprons.
20. I've also got gas for a roadworn strat with a hard tail in olympic white. What are the chances of finding one of them, do you think?
21. No not really. I just felt left out. Lovely bass though - GLWTS.
22. That was brilliant. What a master!
23. Why not add the reverb post production.. Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?
