Without a doubt THE nicest Jazz bass I've ever played. Hand made by Christian Celinder in the early 90's, it is a thing of beauty and absolutely nails the early 60's Jazz vibe in terms of feel and tone. The neck is perfection and the custom Celinder pickups allow notes to leap from the bass in a way I've not experience on another instrument. These are currently available from 4000 Eur new (£3600) if you can bare the lengthy waiting list/build time.

It weighs in at 4kg.

Collection from Margate, postage can be arranged but would prefer collection/meet up due to the nature of the bass.

I've owned a good number of Celinders over the years - the best J's available IMO (and I've tried pretty much everything). Is this LPB (and can you comment on condition?) I'm not sure that Christian is still building - too many difficulties In the past decade

Thanks for the comments. I believe it is Lake Placid Blue and it's in amazing condition considering how old it is. It has the odd sign of general wear as is to be expected.

Thanks for the comments on colour - on reflection, this could be cobalt blue (a colour that I think Christian has used in the past). The board is lovely - do you know if its Rio rosewood?

I'm not sure on the origins of the Rosewood, but it's a lovely looking piece of timber.
