  3. 1st band I joined was twin brothers and their best mate, been playing together since their teens. the twins are infamous for liking their beer and after about 2 years of them getting lairy I finally quit after they laid into each other..on stage....just as we about to start the 2nd set. I had loads of mates in the audience that night, that was me gone..outta there. As it happens I still see the twins about, they are still playing together..families eh?

  8. I clearly remember this one, mike Oldfield was living on Ibiza at the time, as can be heard by the beats! Not sure who its playing Chapman stick /bass but I keep thinking its Geri Halliwell lol
  9. Lol he did swear, he said Bloody hell how do you know him!!...nobody else understands the brotherhood of Bass!!!
  10. I certainly shall!, as it happens I'm sure I recall him mentioning that band name over the weekend!!!

  12. Well spotted dear boy, I have chastised him dozens of times about that....ya know what they are like, never be told lol!
  13. At a beer festival in rural Bucks last night, early evening slot so punters were still sober enough to recognise the choons! We played outside in a tent with 1 power socked and a coupla lumps of chipboard for the drumkit in persistent rain..It was brilliant! 1st outing for our new singist and he had a whale of a time...and we got asked back, so something went right My mic stand beer holder in shot there too...being put to its proper use!!
  14. One of my bands has members from all over North and South Bucks and the singer is in Herts! For me its about 33 miles each way, but 'cross country' so takes about 45 mins. the other band rehears about 4 miles from my door, which is much more civilised!

  16. Just watched this on Iplayer, excellent Doc, which somehow made his music more accessible to me, I've tried before and got bored very quickly, watching and learning has been a great experience.

  20. That is some serious speed on Teacher using the thumb...fair play to ya!
  21. I love me a bit of Big Country, and you guys sound great! Also nice to see someone playing thumb style, don't see that much.
  22. Sennheiser E835 for me too, I found it more directional than the SM58, which works for me as I can go 'off axis' for all my sarky comments best not heard thru the PA lol
