^ ^ ^ You're assuming this was 'good' kit - by the description I'll bet the monitor was jack plug fed.......... π

Beware of wattage ratings in ads - you need to know how much (in rms) the amp will actually deliver continously - most are about 25% of the alleged output. The 10" drivers are unlikely to be what you need, thought the Barefaced 10 might be different (I've got BF kit) Look around at what others are using, read up on the kit & make an informed decision, don't just wing it.......... π

I'll probably do this for book 3, which is getting towards completion - book 1 is complete on Word, & book 2 is currently being transcribed in Word, which is why I'm looking for someone who can do the uploads for me......... π

I'm glad someone started this thread - I'll give Scrivener a look.......I've written a couple of fiction books, one is completely (?) finished/edited and sits in Word, glaring at me - I downloaded an earlier version to Kindle, but I found it very hard work - anyone know a service that can take a Word manuscript and (for a fee)do this for me? π

What bass cabs are you using for reggae?

I don't gig anymore, but I've got a couple of BF Dubster vs1 to handle the bass in my lounge (my current avatar is their power source). π -

(Reuters) - As Gibson Brands Inc targets an exit from Chapter 11 bankruptcy later this year, the iconic guitar maker plans a return to traditional guitars after an ill-fated attempt at computerizing them and possibly a foray into ukuleles, CEO Henry Juszkiewicz told Reuters on Wednesday. π -
........... try one & see - everyone hears stuff differently ? π I bi-amp, the 'hpf' is variable so I can get the heft that I need (Dubsters were never designed as full-range kit)
-
I've got two of the first Dubsters - with a filter to shove most of the mid/top somewhere else (sep amp & spkrs) - they handle anything I can throw at them - shame Alex de-listed them, but I guess aiming them at the dub market probably didn't help sales. ( Mine are staying, btw ) Everyone I play to reckons they're frightingly good.......... π

I've got various stuff on Ebay atm - once it sells, I'm not keen on using the site again as a seller. π -

Caught some of Sheryl Crow - fabulous, professional, 57, says it all......dipped into bits of the rest, landed up watching a progam about Victorian Sewers, which was slightly more entertaining..... π
