  1. They're brilliant - I have a US version, I don't really play 4 strings anymore, but it's going nowhere.
  2. Juan Alderette does some cool upper register playing with The Mars Volta
  3. Never been a fan of pointy guitars, but that's a brilliant shape
  4. Our gig tomorrow was cancelled too - double booking at the venue 😕
  5. A video from last weekend
  6. It's superb, I'd not heard that one before this afternoon, but it's got to be one of my favourite grind albums.
  7. Bass-less grindcore this afternnon - Insect Warfare followed by Wormrot
  8. Been listening to the new GoGo Penguin and Witchsorrow records this morning; both great, if quite different albums.
  9. The new Brother Strut - not bad, but weaker than previous efforts I think.
  10. Ah,I think there's a Rock Formation round these parts too
  11. You play around East Sussex?
  12. Just watched GoGo Penguin's set, that was great. Currently watching Taylor Swift, I like het, but her modern stuff leaves me cold, looking forward to when she goes back to being a country singer. Eldest daughter wants to see the Ed Sheeran set, so will probably watching that next.
  13. The venue we played on saturday couldn't get the subs working initially, turned out that the wiring inside the Speakon connector had been shook loose......
  14. I love this version, these ladies' harmonies are amazing
  15. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1860672713988833&id=426362820753170 Some video from last night, sorry for the song they filmed, I'll bet we're all a bit sick of it 😁
  16. Brilliant last night, set up and break-down was a bit hard work - second floor of a nightclub with no parking available out front, so sweating before we'd begun in the humidity yesterday, but a really good gig. Midnight start, so punters already quite happy, place was pretty busy and they were all up for it, so we had a blast. The venue has a house engineer which makes everything so much easier and not having a PA to break down at the end of the night made it worthwhile. Got to bed at 3, kids got me up at 7..... Only sour note was the intermittent fault on my EBS head seems to have returned and I basically didn't have an amp for the second set, though that was partly down to me turning the input gain down and not noticing.
  17. A nice wedding last night deep in the Sussex coubtryside, the bride was really into it which meant the dancefloor was busy for most of the night, really makes all the difference. Tonight we're at a nightclub in Eastbourne, so don't start until midnight; very pleased Monday is a bank holiday to recover 😁
  18. Tempting, but I've got my eye on something at the moment, thanks 😀
  19. try my old band, as I think it could be ambiguous - Echovirus
  20. This one at the 2016 South East Bass Bash Paul kindly let me play it shortly after I shot this, instant desire.
  21. Last night's pub was okay, first half was muted and the pub pretty dead, picked up in the second half. Last 20 mins or so were great, the singer broke out a couple of Harry and Megan masks - I was Megan - and people loved it. Those 20 minutes were the most fun of the gig. Having your vision restricted is an odd feeling when playing, but I didn't have many problems - makes me want to buy a fretless
  22. Can you upload a clip? I'd love to hear that with a Wal
  23. I think it's a bit like art - hard to define, but you know it when you see it
