1. No worries mate, a few pics in the thread should help with the sale too
2. Is this jazz-esque enough for you? Or too modern? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/172849-mayones-custom-shop-be4-fsft-now-with-video-and-price-dropped/
3.
In studio, yes, he has used SVT's, along with Markbass and a few others, but live he only ever uses his 3 Marshall DBS rigs. I've never seen him gig with anything else. Liam
But Beadie Eye, for instance, had 2 Marshall Plexis, 2 Marshall bass heads and 8x10s and 2 vox AC30s; Bellamy had his own amp and The Who had their own backline - seems odd that CW would be the only one to be handed something that wasn't his choice - so perhaps he's made the shift to Ampeg live?
4.
Was one of his Statii, i think all of his Status basses have LED's don't they. On another CW related note, as i mentioned in another thread earlier, the fact that they dumped an SVT and 810 behind him made me laugh, especially as i don't think it was even plugged in. Liam
Wasn't there a picture of him in the studio recently playing a Status that also had an SVT next to him?
5. Bump, some interest, but nothing firm yet so still available
6. I rather like both of those
7. This sounds great, if I thought I could commit to the time requirements the band would need I'd be after an audition, good luck with the search
8. I don't normally go in for daft shaped basses, but I actually quite like this; probably partly to do with Rex Brown going quite a lot up in my estimations as a bassist recently
9. Graham

G&L SB-2

I love my Tribute L2000, it's the one bass I wouldn't part with
10. Also, a bit cheaper and more likely than my other list, I'd love a go on a Sandberg Basic
11. Price drop to £695.00
12. Wal MkII Fender '64 Precision Fender '57 Precision Gibson '74 Ripper Warwick Buzzard Would probably be my list, other stuff too but I think that's the Euromillions list
13. Anything that involves US export controls is a nightmare, as an aside, Gibson should be glad they don't have to deal with anything that's dual use or ITAR controlled
14. Hi James, Does this interest you at all? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/172849-mayones-custom-shop-be4-fsft-price-drop/page__p__1725008__hl__mayones__fromsearch__1#entry1725008 That's some good playing in that video too :-)
15. Interested in any trades? And from my point of view, specifically the below? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/172849-mayones-custom-shop-be4-fsft-price-drop/page__p__1725008__hl__mayones__fromsearch__1#entry1725008
16.
I read about this bass quite a while ago (BGM?). Nate went back to Fender before they recorded the last album and has also been touring with Fenders. I hope that clears up the Lakland issue. Apparently, the neck will be the most 'signature' thing about the bass. Back when his bass was made ('73?) the necks were planed by hand and therefore varied a great deal. Nate's neck falls directly between a Jazz and a Precision in terms of nut width and profile.
That's cool, I really liked his tone on Wasting Light, though a lot of that will be the all tube Ashdown (I assume from the sleeve) he used
17.
Not so worried about leads but I've seen a few people think its ok to put a drink on my amp whilst they Pratt about with whatever there doing
That drives me mad, "you got 2 grand to replace my amp if your drink falls over? No? Then get it off my amp"
18.
I love System Of A Down, especially their older stuff, but I've never learned any because they use drop C
First SOAD album is a binder, but yup, never learned anything from it
19. He used an early 70s precision for years and I think he swapped over to Lakland for touring to look after the Fender. The whole AIDS denial thing really bothers me too, particularly as he seems to be the one in the band most involved in it. And especially as musically, he's one of my biggest influences these days.
20. I know exactly what you mean, there's plenty of bands I love but have never learned any of their tracks because of daft tunings and I have a bass in B. For example, Mastodon are one of my absolute favourite bands but I've never learned any of their material
21. Yup, other band members completely oblivious to anything that isn't a guitar or a microphone (drummers seem to be more considerate / aware) or worse, drunk punters wandering onto the stage and swaying remarkably close to your pedal board.
22. Some video I recorded earlier.
23. Blimey, that's less than I paid for my L2000 Tribute - someone has got to snap it up
24. I guess this is the right place for this, found it on Facebook, no good for me, but I'm sure someone might be interested http://www.facebook....151977062985611
25. Up to the top, any trade offers?
